I received this foundation for free from Urban Decay and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. Firstly, I want to say I have oily acne-prone skin with enlarged pores. I also suffer from redness, sensitivity and have post-acne marks as well as some dryness. I hydrated my skin with toner and s...erum before applying the foundation with a damp sponge. I have to say it looked like photo-ready skin. It looked so natural and beautiful. Right away I liked it. Because it's matte, it does dry quickly and noticed some splotchiness on my cheeks where I didn't get full coverage.. i added more foundation and covered it up nicely. This is definitely not a full-coverage foundation. You have to apply quite a bit to build it up. I, unfortunately, couldn't cover up my redness for fear of it looking too cakey on my cheeks, but I'll try to layer more on next time and just see what happens. I didn't have to set it with powder, at first, because it looked that good. I applied it at 10 AM and did some indoor cardio and worked up a little bit of a sweat. It still did not come off or streak and I was very happy about it. Sometime around 2 PM I had to blot my face due to oiliness and apply powder for the first time. I also want to point out I applied a silicone-based primer to half my face and no primer to the other half. There was no separation whatsoever on either side. I do quickly want to talk about the container. It is cute, easy to use and small enough to travel anywhere with it. It's squeezable and dispenses out easily with no risk of mess. The serum-like texture doesn't come rushing out. You always get the amount you want on the sponge or brush or even your hand. The other thing I wanted to point out is my face did sting quite a bit. I'm assuming it was the niacinamide in the foundation, but it also could have been caused by another ingredient. I think this may have caused my face to turn red and show through. So be careful if you're sensitive to that ingredient. Overall, I had this on for 10 hours, was able to do light cardio, eat, sweat, touch my face with little to no transfer and minor blotting and setting inbetween. It looks beautiful and is best suited for oily to combo skin types who want a medium buildable coverage. It doesn't seem to settle into creases or separate with silicone primers and is best avoided if you are sensitive to niacinamide or have a lot of redness or hyperpigmentation to cover up. I would definitely recommend this Urban Decay foundation for people looking for a matte finish.
