This product is great if you're using it for what it's for: very brittle, overprocessed hair. If your hair is simply frizzy or dry, then this isn't the product you should be using, as this is definitely a protein treatment. Using this on hair that isn't suffering from breakage or too brittle will dry out your hair. This is what I learned, unfortunately a little too late. If you hair concerns are like mine, frizz, moisture-loss, flyaways, etc, then I suggest you use L'Oreal's Power Moisture deep conditioner instead of this one. Bottom line it's a great product, but be sure to use it for the right hair concerns.
My ends tend to dry out because I wear my hair long and use products on it. It's quite fine and thin, like most natural blonde hair is. I bought this for a quick 'end-refresher' to use in the shower. It doesn't really do much for me. I don't get the hydrated, silky feeling hair that I get with most intense moisturizers. I can't even tell it's been used! I won't be buying it again If I put it anyplace other than the ends of my hair, I have a problem rinsing it away and end up with a tad of greasiness at the roots and top. It's not high end, by a long shot, but I had expected more from this brand and I truthfully can't say it does anything for me. Maybe that's just me, who knows. At this price point it's worth a try anyway. Might just work for you.

I love this. I have bleach damaged hair, and this helps it to look so much healthier and makes it feel much more hydrated and soft.

I washed my hair with Herbal Essence Hydrating Coconut Shampoo (loved this) and followed with the Elvive Damage Eraser. Used heating cap for 20 minutes. Rinsed and blow dryed my hair. No change at all.

My hair is pretty damaged from going blonde & using heat and this stuff was like magic just after the first use!

My hair was so dry cuz I change the color too often so after a week using this product helps me a lot !!!! Feels more softly and I notice that my hair is not falling too much like before the only reason I don't give 5 starts is cuz I feel or I would like to have a bigger size and just came in one.

My thick, curly hair loves this product. I am always looking for a good treatment for my dry, color treated hair. I have spent alot of money on expensive brands but nothing comes close the Elvive Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm. After using once, my hair was so soft and silky! The smell is wonderful, not too strong. I am hooked and will definitely purchase again.

Repeat purchase, great to add to my regular conditioner for extra moisturizing.

I have really thick, damaged, and color treated hair but every time I use this my hair feels so soft and healthy. I've only used it a couple times so far but I will def repurchase. Such a good product and bomb pricing!!!

I have been told a number of times how dry, and frizzy my hair is. Its been damaged from blow dry, curling iron, perm, and coloring. Have tried several brands of hair treatment until I decided to use the L'Oreal 5- Repair System. Very impressed right from the first use I can feel and see the difference on my hair. The scent may be strong for some but I am fine with it!

I use this daily on the last 6" of my hair. I love how soft it keeps my ends!

I have fine hair that normally gets weighed down by any conditioner. Originally tried this while traveling with a friend on their recommendation and was pleasantly surprised to find it didn't weigh my hair down.

The directions say to use this mask in the shower after shampooing, but my hair is so damaged, I apply it to my ends about 30 minutes before my shower when my hair is dry. I comb my hair first with a wide-tooth comb, work about two tablespoons into my ends, comb again, and then put my hair in a ponytail with one of those hair elastics that looks like a telephone cord (it's easier to rinse off in the shower than a cloth elastic). It's like putting toothpaste in your dry hair but if you can get past the ick factor, the results are amazing, even after just one use. My hair gets progressively healthier looking after each use (I use it twice a week).

This product was horrible. I had used it in hopes of restoring some health to my hair. After using this product my hair felt like horse hair and the texture was terrible. Made my hair poofy and dry. I have naturally curly hair and even with my usual hair oils for after wash use this product made my hair feel dry and gross. Would give 0 stars if I could!

I tried this once and large wads of my hair came out when rinsing. straight into the trash it went!
Rosie from Los Angeles
I tried a lot of mask, after dying my hair it was very freezy and would get tangled a lot, but I was very fortunate to run into this miracle mask... I absolutely love the results. Definitedly recommend it!

I've been using this hair mask for a few years now and I've always loved how smooth it makes my hair. Unfortunately, I used it recently and it completely stripped the color in my hair (I got it dyed red at Ulta a few days before). It left me looking like I had just gotten blonde highlights. I know it wasn't my shampoo or conditioner because they are both sulfate and paraben free. So, I recommend this mask for most people, but if you have color treated hair, avoid at all costs!
rachael from virginia
the mask itself is okay, but like most l'oréal products, the fragrance is unbearable (like an old woman's perfume). this immediately went in the trash.

I used this for my damaged hair since I straighten it frequently. I use once a week and its like I chemically straighten my hair. There is less frizz and more manageability. I dont have to use my straightener as often. I have curly 3a hair that is cut into layers so my frontal area gets the most attention and this product helped tremendously.

I have long highlighted hair. It will start to get VERY dry after too much sun exposure and in between trims. This is the most moisturizing, repairing balm I have found. I usually use Matrix hair products but this deep conditioner is the best!
Kayla from Colorado
I'm honestly not one to buy too many things drug store, just because you get what you pay for. BUT this mask does help my highlighted hair. It's easier to brush through, blow dries faster, and is easier to maintain after each use.

This stuff was great! Super moisturizing with great slippage for naturally curly hair.
