Why???!😩
I've been using this foundation for years! I cant believe they changed the formula when it was probably their biggest money maker! If anyones looking for original formula, I was still able to purchase it on Estee Lauder website.
Wanted to like this
Nothing compated to the original. You need to use twice as much just to get a medium coverage. It almost sits over the skin and it makes your skin looks textured. It also creates fine lines which never happened to me before with the original one. It's definitely no go for me.
The formula seems different
Definitely more than just a new bottle but still the only one I would buy.
New Formula
I used ti love the old formula but the new one is terrible. When I first put it on, it matches my skim tone perfectly. But after an hour or so, it has oxidized so badly, it's two shades darker and SO orange. It does last all day and controls oil very well but even with good skin prep, it separates and has a tendency to be difficult to blend. It also emphasizes my pores. I'm so sad they changed the forumula so drastically.
Hate new formula
I have been wearing Estée Lauder double wear foundation for probably 15+ years. I absolutely loved the old formula non-transfers proof never oxidized true to color long lasting due to the recent band of a certain chemical several brands and several foundations are having to be reformulated Estée Lauder double wear is not the only one however the reformulation formula is not a plus for me. The colors are not exactly the same. I used to wear one and one ivory renewed this color was so orange on me and oxidized so badly I had to go almost 3 shades lighter and I still don't know because I haven't done a full face of makeup yet it was just trying it on in the store, so I'm sure I might have to re-color match again. It's a thinner consistency, almost watery like it takes several more applications of the product to get a full face of coverage before it would take three pumps for one side three pumps for the other side of my face. I'm now having to do about six pumps on each side. I understand the company did not have a choice. I was hoping to find some old stock, but apparently the stores had to do away with it. Luckily, I had two bottles of it. I stocked up before I wish I would've stocked up even more of the old formula so you'll definitely have to rematch your shade apply more product. I don't even know what would be a comparable to this foundation. I'm hoping once I find the right color that it will still be a better option than others.
