I did not expect to like this product as much as I do. I am very strict with my skincare because I have acne-prone skin that tends to dry out if I use acne products and get oily if I use "sensitive skin" products. From the first night of use, this serum made a visible difference on an acne scar tha...t had been making a comeback above my lip. It wasn't drastic but the redness and swelling definitely went down. Consistency-wise the product is not too thick or too runny (neutral) and not sticky at all (positive) but I'd say it's pretty standard for a serum. Keep in mind this is an active serum that should be applied to dry skin! It has a bit of slip to it even without the usual damp skin application needed, making it very easy to apply to a larger area. My only gripe had been the packaging. If I had written this review a few days earlier, I might have suggested this product was 4.5 stars instead of the 5/5 I've given it. THIS IS SOLELY DUE TO PACKAGING. I still do not really appreciate how bulky and cumbersome both the bottle and the dropper are. It's hard to measure how much product you have used/how much you have left and worst of all it is hard to get product out, due to the type of dropper used. To me inconvenient packaging takes a lot away from a product and makes it less effective to use overall. HOWEVER, because of my own clumsiness the other night, I accidentally knocked the bottle off of my bathroom counter while I was using it, as in, the bottle was fully untwisted. There was a moment of silence as I mourned my new serum, and even considered buying another to replace what was now surely a mess of cracked applicator and broken bottle and clean the wasted serum off my bathroom tiles. But The Serum Survived!!! Miraculously, thanks to the sturdy bottle and heavy applicator, even uncapped not a drop spilled and there was no damage to the packaging!!! Despite my gripes with the effectiveness of the applicator, this truly cemented the Tula dark spot serum as 5 stars for me.
