NOT the shampoo for me, but....

The shampoo isn't my favorite. It did make my hair shiny, smooth, and moisturized without weighing it down or making it greasy like most oil based shampoo products do. The scent is what got me. The scent is heavily manly. It's a scent you would expect from a men's body wash, very musky and woodsy. A...nd it's overpowering to the point I only used the shampoo twice because the smell gave me a headache and made me smell like a man. I'm more into fruit-based scents. However, my 19-year-old son loves it. He has extremely curly hair and he really liked the moisturizing properties of this shampoo. It cut down on his frizz big time, moisturized his curls without weighing them down and stretching them out. He likes the scent, but again he's a man. I did not like the companion conditioner at all. It was too heavy for my fine wavy blonde hair. But again, my son loved it. It did add a little bit of weight to his curls, so the next time around he used less of it mixed with a tiny bit of shampoo so that it wouldn't leave so much deposit behind in the hair. I was also surprised at the amount of chemicals in the shampoo reading the label. I try not to use products so full of chemicals, but in the hair care industry it's hard to get away from. I'm not a big fan of oil based products either, as I have fine hair and they tend to make it greasy. But if you have very dry hair, this would be a great product. I received a free sample of the shampoo and its companion conditioner from pinch me in exchange for a review. If you like the heavy musky more manly scent , And you like an oil based shampoo and conditioner, this product would probably work great for you. I don't particularly care for those attributes, so the shampoo wasn't for me. But my son really likes it.
