Press the Power button to turn the iron on. Buttons will illuminate and screen will display temperature when device is powered on. Toggle using the + and - buttons to select your preferred temperature.
For sleek & straight styles:
- Start with completely dry, detangled hair.
- Clamp a 1-2" section of hair at the roots.
- Glide iron down slowly and gently from root to tip.
- Repeat on other sections of hair for a smooth, sleek finish.
For curls or waves:
- Start with completely dry, detangled hair.
- Clamp a 1-2" section of hair near the roots.
- Twist the iron 180 degrees, then glide plates through to the ends.
- Repeat on other sections of hair for beautiful, bouncy curls and waves.
Pre-caution: External plates get hot. Use cool tip, and wear the included heat-resistant glove for extra comfort when styling.

despite having decent heat distribution and heat setting for my thick coarse curly hair... I DO NOT recommend spending the money on this. I purchased for myself as a gift buying something other than a chi in the world of "lux" flat irons, and I have never been so disappointed. I have tried numerous flat irons over the years, but this one is worse than more drugstores... I read the reviews and was pumped. No matter how I angle it, it does not get close to the scalp for my curly hair, if using it to curl, the curls get caught around the outside of the barrel, AND the end pinches your hand occasionally when curling. IF you don't trust my review, please do not pay full price for this... if you do trust it. avoid this at all costs.. youre better off buying something cheaper
Hair gets stuck
I bought this for my trip to France. I was able to use it with a travel adapter just fine. It straightened my thick hair well. I hated how when i tried to curl my hair, my hair would get stuck in the gold bars at the end of the plate. It has ripped my hair. It has grabbed it and then I can't finish the curl so it looks disjointed. Then have to pass through the hair a secobd time to get it right. If it wasnt for my travel i would have returned it right away.
Incredible - Might not be best suited for beginners
This curling straightener is fantastic. Dual voltage, straightens my coarse, wavy hair in 1-2 smooth passes without getting puffy later in the day, and curls beautifully. SO worth the price. Since the outside gets hot as well for curling capabilities, I don't think it's suited for someone who is not as experienced using hot tools, as it would be easy to burn yourself. For someone looking for a versatile styling tool that you can also travel with, look no further. This will be all I need to pack with me moving forward.
