Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Fragrance-Free Curl Activating Hair Mousse

I have a mast cell disorder, and I'm allergic to most every haircare and skincare product out there. This fragrance-free, protein-free mousse is the very best one on the market! It's so unique. It is THE ONLY fragrance-free mousse I have found that doesn't contain cocamidopropyl betaine, a so-called gentle amidoamine surfactant which I am extremely allergic to. Fragrance-free hair products are so necessary. Protein-free is great both for allergies, and for my low-porosity, fine, but high density, 2c-3a, medium-length, wavy/curly hair. A little bit goes a long way with this mousse. I find it has much more hold than it claims to have. Most mousses I've tried are just the opposite in this regard. I part my hair into two sections, and scrunch one tiny pump into each side, or section of my hair before drying with a diffuser. I use the SEEN Fragrance Free Blowout Cream as a curl cream before this product. I've never had such incredible curl definition, or gotten more compliments than I have while using these two products together. I find that this mousse does not work if I air-dry my hair. It makes my hair look stringy and crunchy, even if I scrunch out the crunch. There is no crunch to be scrunched out when I blow-dry my hair with a diffuser. But I still scrunch my hair out with the No Nothing Fragrance Free hair oil, just in case. Using this product to air dry my hair is the only time I have ever experienced a cast, or crunch effect with any other hair product, even the ones that claim to be strong hold. I normally wash my hair every daily, because my scalp is very oily and my hair is too low-porosity to refresh. But if you refresh your hair, I've found that spraying your hair lightly with distilled water, scrunching it with a TINY amount of this mousse, finger-rolling any curls that look weird, diffusing until dry, and scrunching it out with an oil works better than any method I've ever tried.

I'm so confused by some of the recent negative reviews I've read—maybe they were from a shipment that got overheated or too cold? Temp can really affect pressurized products, so I'd really recommend y'all exchange and try the product again. Anyway, my fine curls *love* this stuff, and I'm so grateful to have quality products that won't aggravate my sensitivities. This mousse is everything I'd hoped it would be: it's lightweight but still gives definition *and* shine, no fragrance *and* it doesn't smell all chemical-y, and it's great to grab on sale. Thank you, Not Your Mother's, for giving sensitive curlies some great options! Please consider making a fragrance free version of your heat protectant spray 👀🩵

The moose works nice..I mean I repurchased it so obviously I liked it. The only problem is it does NOT smell good at all, which sucks because I feel like its noticeable. Aside from that the product itself works.

I love not your mothers products so much but when I got this my mousse wouldn't foam up :( I dont know if it was an error or just a factory mistake but I've tried so much and it still won't foam

I have used the original version of this in the past and found the scent to be very strong and not very pleasant. I was excited to try the fragrance free version but it smells really bad! Basically like a worse, more muted scent of the original frangrance. I saw someone else compare it to an old person smell and I agree! I can't even get the smell off my hands and have washed them twice. Guess I'll need to use dish soap or something. Extremely disappointed
