No, it doesn't lather. Your hair still feels clean after washing. What I mean is that you know your hair and when your hair is wet and needs to feel washed it it feels a certain way. After you wash with the shampoo it feels clean. So, the shampoo adds more curl definition and volume. I use this shampoo and conditioner and then I diffuse my hair and add products from different companies like mizani and its a 10. I did notice immediately my curls were more defined and my hair was not flat. I shared a picture but keep in mind that I washed my hair the night before and this is the morning after.
Would not repurchase
It may have helped my curls?? Not really sure to be honest, but it doesnt lather, and personally if a shampoo doesn't lather, my hair doesnt feel as clean. That's a personal preference though.

I've been using this for about 6 months. First thing first, it does NOT lather like a regular shampoo. It isn't supposed to. It will create some lather if emulsified in the hands first, but it's primarily going to gently cleanse surface level build up and moisturize. I use my standby H&S Apple Cider Vinegar to deep clean the scalp every few days. The scents blend well and don't linger or overpower, if you're sensitive. I have mostly fine hair that is very dense and gets oily. This product combo has given me the healthiest scalp and hair I have ever had. My hair is now waist length, full, curls nicely, and rarely tangles.

I am 50 years old, a little less volume then before menopause. I have 2B waves, virgin hair, no gray. This is a great shampoo, yes it lacks lather...but it cleanses so well. It helps control my frizz, and moisturizes without weighing my waves down. I absolutely love the scent, its like...showering in orange cream, giving sherbet vibes. About the lather, I believe its due to lack of sulfates, possibly. sulfates dry out textured hair increasing lack of structure and frizz. If lather is what you like, this shampoo does lather a little. I love it, might not be your thing. I would buy this again, and I would recommend for a textured hair friend.
