I have very sensitive skin and so I'm always hesitant to try new skin care products. I did my research because I really struggle with heat rash that causes very itchy, red bumps on my face and neck when I do any kind of activity out in the heat and humidity. I've been to several dermatologists who prescribed a variety of medications, all of which irritated my skin and did nothing to solve the heat rash. I even had a biopsy done years ago!! Still no solution. When I read about the probiotics used to formulate TULA, it just made sense to me, so I had to give it a try. The pictures speak for themselves. I no longer struggle with heat rash thanks to TULA and, as a runner this is a huge help to me. I love the Day and Night Moisturizing cream, the Purifying Cleanser and the Resurfacing Gel. In addition, my skin is soft and glowing and rash free!! The first photo is after a run in the heat and humidity. I suffered this EVERY TIME I ran. The second photo is after using TULA for about 2 months! Normally, I wouldn't post such unflattering photos of myself, but I am truly grateful for this and want others to get the benefits I have.
I have always had a mild acne issue that usually came during a certain time of the month. I also get some zits around my hairline and forehead from hair styling products. I started using Tula after an Ulta employee recommended it. The same visit a different employee advised to be careful with Tula because if you use it everyday it can irritate your skin. I began using it and at first it seemed fine. Over the course of several weeks, I slowly started getting painful acne. It happened so gradually I was unsure the cause. I thought to try using Tula less often thinking it may be irritating my skin from too much use. When I decreased to every other day the acne got worse. So I thought to go back to everyday. This cycle repeated for over half a year because I couldn't understand why my acne would worsen when I slowed down the usage and using everyday was having painful acne more then past years. Since acne become worse so gradually, I was never sure if the cause was the Tula. Maybe I was having a hormone issue these past 6-8 months. Ultimately, I got so fed up dealing with the most painful acne I've ever had, (and switched and eliminated every other possibility of makeup, moisturizers, hair products and diet) I finally said, I'm going to stop using Tula completely to see if it's possibly the problem. For a week or two the acne worsened when I stopped using it. I was almost about to abandon the strategy and return to regular use again when finally it started slowly going away. It took two weeks for my skin to FINALLY return to the way it looked and felt nearly a year ago- by this time. For the last several months I've been back using inexpensive face cleansers and my face is back to normal.....except for the hundred scars I have left all over my face from the most painful acne I've ever known. I blame myself for taking so long to recognize the problem. Please use caution with Tula. Every skin type is different. For me,Tula was a very bad experience!

This cleanser worked good so far but the smell is absolutely disgusting! It reminds me of the subway where it smells like pee😷 I'm sad I really wanted to love it but idk if I can tolerate the smell :(

I like this cleanser It left my face feeling super clean! It does a great job at washing away oils and makeup. It did leave my skin feeling a little dry but I always put lotion on my face after a good wash so I'm good with that

I love how clean my face feels after I use this cleanser! After just 3 days of using it I saw a difference in my complexion. My skin was brighter and blemish free. I don't under the science behind probiotics on your face but I love the result!

I got a travel size of this in a set and only tried this after I ran out of my normal cleanser (I use Zo Skincare). I struggle with rosacea, which gives me little annoying bumps on my face. A week after using this as the second step of my double cleanse, those bumps have disappeared. The product does smell, and I'm not a huge fan of that, but it's worth it to have better skin. A little goes a long way, and it's activated with water, so keep that in mind if you try it.

HAD TO RETURN IT DUE TO IT'S BAD ODOR. WISH THEY'D MAKE IT IN A FRUITY SCENT.

The smell is awful. It reminds me of something my grandmother would have worn as a perfume. It doesn't feel like it really cleans my skin, and I don't feel like it goes on smoothly. I'm using the trial size and I probably won't finish it. I certainly won't buy full size.

I'm almost done with the full size tube and I've found the smell is not great. It doesn't suds up easy or apply nice to my skin. It is drying and I don't even know if it's cleaning my skin. Not super impressed

Overall I like this. Small amount lathers nicely (not too much) and skin feels cleansed but not striped. The scent is quite powerful but I lie it. It stays on the skin for some time after The bottle is huge, i use it for a month and it seems totally full. I use it as second cleanser at night (I do double cleanse) and as light cleanse in the morning. Combo skin.

First, the smell is TOO strong and definitely overwhelming, it just smells horrible! Within the first few days of using this on my CLEAR skin, this started causing me breakouts. I've had clear skin for a while now and this caused very painful breakouts that just won't go away now. I don't even have sensitive skin but this was just TERRIBLE. Had to trash it. Never again.

I just recently found Tula and wanted to give a few products a try. I got a few different gentle cleansers but got this one free with purchase. This is not for sensitive or dry skin. I am so sensitive that my eyes get irritated with a lot of cleansers and moisturizers. Since this was a smaller tube I took it on a one night stay out of town and my face was dry and tightened up after using it, and my eyes immediately got irritated. The smell is also a bit strong. It reminds me of the old oil of Olay night cream smell. So if you are sensitive in any way or your eyes are sensitive this is not your cleanser. I however love their makeup remover stick, the cleanser oil, and the gentle milk cleanser. All of those products are great for sensitive skin, but this one is not the right fit for me.

Does a great job at cleansing my face but like others have said it does have a strong fragrance. I did end up getting used to it and finished the whole tube. My face felt nice and fresh everytime. Not too dry but I would apply serum and moisturizer after anyways. I have combo skin. I would repurchase but not everytime. I would probably switch between this and another cleanser.

Heard great things about this brand and got this as a sample. It IS great quality, love the consistency & fresh feeling afterwards. But I can't get over the smell of it. Hopefully they redo this product with a different scent

I love this cleanser! It's gentle enough for MY sensitive skin and strong enough to get the job done. I use 1-2 times a day followed by a moisturizer. This is definitely my go-to facial cleanser.

I thought I was going to love this cleanser... but it made no difference to my skin after using it for a while. The smell bothered me after a while... too strong. I didn't get a new one when I ran out of my first botte.

Bought this item half off, needed a new cleanser and have heard good things about this brand. The first day I opened the cleanser in my bathroom and my partner could smell it in the kitchen. Extremely strong perfume scent. I hate strong scents in skincare products especially cleanser. Not necessary at all. Overall it's a basic cleanser. Nothing to write home about, didn't see any changes or improvement in my skin. Kind of drying. Even though I got it for half off I'm still considering returning.

The smell is overwhelming and it smells like old lady perfume. It gives me a headache and I've never had a product that I didn't like because of the smell. Turns out, all their products smell like this. It's not even that great of a face wash. Not considering the smell, it's very bland. Nothing great.

It was really harsh on my skin and dried my face out. The worst thing about this product is the smell. OMG, I can't even describe how strong and unpleasant the odor is. It smells like chemicals and artificial fragrance. 🤢

This is the only cleanser I cleared up my cystic acne I have not used anything ever since!

Got a sample of this. It was a nice cleanser, but omg. It smells like strong old lady perfume. I had to wash my face again after using this to try and get the smell off. Normally I'm not sensitive to smells, but this was just too strong.

I honestly don't know how people can love this cleanser. The scent is absolutely awful. One or some of the ingredients also irritated my skin (I have very dry but acne prone skin) after one use, and I don't consider myself to have sensitive skin. Just not for me and I definitely don't understand the hype.

I ran out of my old cleanser so I decided to try Tula since I'd heard great things about it. Well I got a dry red patch on my chin almost immediately and am now getting acne on my forehead which I haven't had in a year. I gave it 6 weeks thinking my skin needed time to adjust, but my skin is progressively getting worse. I know for certain this cleanser is the cause since I didn't make any other changes to my skincare. The smell is also quite unpleasant.

But not in a bad way!! It smells clean. Like a doctor's office. I think it does its job as a cleanser but I don't see the need to spend this much when brands like Cetaphil and CeraVe work just as well.
