Q
I would like to try your conditioner for fine hair (my niece loves it!) but have contact dermatitis and an allergy to linalool. Since you list parfum as an ingredient, does this contain linalool?
Asked by MJBShopper
Official Answer By OUAI - Brand Engage
Our Fine Hair Conditioner does not contain linalool. You may find the full ingredients' list on the product page. However, we do not produce our products in linalool free facilities so we cannot make the claim that they are free of any linalool ingredients. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Should I use fine or medium shampoo/conditioner if some of my hair is fine and some is medium?
Asked by Erin
Official Answer By OUAI - Brand Engage
You can absolutely mix and match! It's important to do what feels best for your hair - everyone's routine is different! We recommend using Fine Shampoo or Conditioner when you're looking to add volume and bounce, and strengthen and thicken fine hair with just the right amount of hydration without leaving hair greasy or OUAI-ed down. We recommend Medium Shampoo & Conditioner if you're looking to add shine, eliminate frizz, or a little extra hydration. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Why is there isopropyl alcohol in this product? Wouldn't the alcohol tend to dry the hair?
Asked by knitter
Official Answer By OUAI - Brand Engage
OUAI here! Isopropyl alcohol can sound drying, but in this case, it’s included in a very small amount to help the formula perform better. Isopropyl alcohol helps dissolve and evenly distribute key conditioning ingredients, ensuring they coat the hair smoothly. Because Fine Hair Conditioner is balanced with moisturizing and nourishing ingredients (like oils, butters, and emollients), the isopropyl alcohol doesn’t dry out the hair — it actually helps those ingredients absorb more effectively, leaving hair soft and manageable. So while “alcohol” can sometimes have a bad reputation, not all alcohols act the same way — in this formula, it plays a functional role that supports conditioning rather than drying. I hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this product good 4 African American black hair care
Asked by mommalucci
Official Answer By OUAI - Brand Engage
Yes! We recommend Fine Hair Shampoo & Conditioner for fine hair types and is suitable for all textures. Fine Hair Conditioner is lightweight so it won’t OUAI you down and provides just the right amount of hydration so you never feel greasy. It is made with keratin, biotin, and chia seed oil to strengthen and add volume to fine strands. Was this answer helpful to you

Luxurious hair results!

I have fine, straight, oily, frizzy, damaged (from coloring and using heat styling tools over the years) hair type. My scalp tends to get oily but have dry, brittle strands and been in search for hair products that'll help replenish/repair, add volume, and reduce frizz all while not weighing my hair...

Not good for fine coily hair

I watched a video by Ouai talking about stripping the gimmicky labels and giving a straight forward shampoo and conditioner set that tackles the common issues of each hair texture. FYI: Hair texture (not to be confused with surface texture) is the size of the hair strand. They come in fine, medium a...

I just used this today for the first time and it smells awful. I'm not sure how well it will work on my hair because I can't get passed the smell to use it anymore.

Scent is too strong.

I have fine, wavy hair that's been starting to feel dryer than normal. Thought I'd try this. My hair looked SO MUCH better after once wash. Shiny and bouncy after just letting it air dry. But the scent is so strong. It was making my eyes burn even after my hair dried. Almost 48 hours after washing it, I still smelled it. After washing it twice with another shampoo, still smelled it. GREAT product if you're not sensitive to smells, but I'd stay away if you are.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
