Squeeze a small amount onto the back of the hand.
Use ring finger to warm up the product.
Begin by pressing product on the top of the cheek bone, down onto the cheek and back upward above the brow creating a ''C'' shape.
Pick up additional product, repeat on the other cheek.
Repeat application until desired intensity is achieved.
If using a brush, pair with the Blooming Blush brush, and work the brush into the product on the back of the hand, then apply the same way by pressing the brush onto the skin.

Comments about Complexion Rescue Highlighting Blush
I really love how this blush looks on the skin. it gives a nice, healthy glow without being too sparkly or over the top. The color is super flattering and blends really easily, which I appreciate since I don't like spending forever on makeup. The only downside is it's really soft and broke after a few weeks in my makeup bag, so I'd recommend being careful with it. Still, it's one of the easy to use pen I've used, and I'd probably buy it again just because of how easy to put it on. Use on my eyes and cheek.

Needs improvement
I bought this and was so excited. Gorgeous product. However, it does not set/dry. It remains tacky/sticky, ALL DAY. Also no matter how you apply…brush, sponge, fingertip, it lifts the foundation off your face. I have used 3 different setting sprays thinking I was the problem. I'm going to return it bc it does not perform well.
Disappointed
I have dry, pale skin and tend to prefer blue toned pink cream blushes. I thought this color looked beautiful and liked that this had a bit of highlight combined with the blush. First, you get very little product. The description does state it's only half an ounce...the tube makes it look like you get more but the tube is really only about 1/4 -1/3 full. The color is pretty, a very pale wash of pink with a cool glow. It doesn't take much product so despite the small size it should last for awhile. It is barely visible on my pale skin which is fine for me, but beware its not super pigmented. The one thing I don't like is it leaves a bit of a tacky feel on my cheeks. Even after applying setting powder and even hours later, if I touch my cheek it feels tacky. There are better products out there. I'll finish this up but won't repurchase.
Nice for an overall glow, not enough pigment for a blush
Years ago, all over "wash of color" products (not to be confused with color correctors) were popular but they seem to not exist as such any more. They were for an extremely light tint of pink or peach to liven up one's complexion. I loved them and this Bare Minerals blush seems to do the same job. I got Rose Glow which is the lightest and coolest pink-toned option. Oddly, Pink Glow and Mauve Glow, from the in-store testers, have a warm orange/peach tint. I mix it with my moisturizer or liquid foundation and it really does give a nice glow with a slight hint of color. Rose Glow doesn't have enough pigment for me to use on its own as a blush; it would be more of a highlighter. Also, as many people have pointed out, the product is sticky and doesn't dry down, and there isn't much product in the tube.
