I paint my nails often. This isn't new to me. It didn't say to use a base or a top coat, but I also didn't say ~not~ to. I love this polish. I wear dark colors on my toes and this is the best. The first coat is streaky, but the second coat is perfection. I hope that Clinique will make this a permanent item and bring back their nail color line that they had a long time ago. I remember a beautiful sheer pink and a true red plus base and top coats. I'll keep buying this polish as long as it's offered.
Accessibility issue
Black Honey is obviously a cult classic color. Its gorgeous snd suits every skin tone under the sun. I was really excited to see the nailpolish and purchases on sight. The handle is not really an accessible or easily handled shape. Its slippery, short, and fits awkwardly in the hand. The applicator brush is thin and short and it doesnt fan out when applying which leads to thick, uneven applicstion on the nail. The formula seems to dry to tacky pretty quickly and doing the gentle nail taps together to seen if its resdy for another coat is faster than other brands. Im not sure I would repurchase this again even though the color is perfect.

First and foremost the color of this nail polish is gorgeous! The one downside of this polish was the first coat being a bit difficult to apply and being a bit streaky. The second and third coats applied perfectly though. This polish dried quite quickly! It lasted on my nails about a week before chipping. If I applied a topcoat I'm sure it could've lasted even longer. I received this product for free from Clinique for testing and review purposes.

Clinique's Color Rich Nail Polish in "Black Honey" has been a beautiful color to have on my nails! This polish comes in a sturdy container with a great brush that allows for easy and precise application. This deep black honey shade is the perfect blend of red, purple, and black with a sleek glossy finish. This richly pigmented color looked great after just two coats. This product dries relatively quickly compared to similar nail polish products. It smells just like you would expect from a typical nail polish. It lasted for several days before it started to chip or crack. I have received so many compliments since I started to wear this polish and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new shade! *I received this product for free from Clinique for testing and review purposes.*
