I think they changed the formula . I bought it like 6 months ago and it worked great! When the bottle ran out I had to buy more. It's hard to tell if this works but I notice my roots fade noticeably faster than the rest of my hair and I don't spray on my roots so I think it's working. It also leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth.
