To set foundation, apply powder over your complexion.

The design and high-quality packaging of this product are immediately impressive, truly setting a premium standard before you even open it. The real revelation, however, is the finish. This is the first powder in my collection to give such a sophisticated and beautifully diffused soft glow to the face - it's not glittery, just a gorgeous, cloud-like radiance that illuminates the skin naturally. I wanted to love this finishing powder, and I spent several weeks reading and watching reviews before purchasing. It seemed like the perfect thing---a bit of lit-from-within glow without getting too dewy or oily---but, I guess that I just expected a little more impact from it. To be honest, I don't really notice much of a difference after application, and I'm pretty disappointed about that. It's lightweight and soft and doesn't settle in my fine lines nor does it get cakey, so it lives up to the performance hype with none of the usual pitfalls of powder, plus the color match (the lightest shade) blends into my light, cool-leaning undertones perfectly...I'm just not particularly wowed by the results. I know that a finishing powder is going to be subtle, but I'm struggling to see ANY changes in either the appearance of my makeup or even in the longevity of its wear-time. I'll keep trying different application techniques, maybe it's just user error on my part, but I'm not sure it was worth the purchase. So, I recommend the general formula, but I've been left uncertain if it actually does anything for me.
