Q
According to my app and the ingredients list of my cleanser and this toner it says that thes products shouldn't be used together. This is because the toner has a peptide and the cleanser has direct acid. Are there any cleansers that do work with this toner?
Asked by Lilac
Official Answer By Murad
You are able to use this toner with any Murad cleanser. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
is this safe to use with vitamin c serums?
Asked by skin
Official Answer By Murad
You can mix and match products between our various lines however you do not want to layer treatments. You only want to use one treatment in the morning and one in the evening. This allows you to receive the maximum benefit of your treatment step in the morning and evening. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Should i put this product in my skincare fridge or leave it out of it?
Asked by Lilly
Official Answer By Murad
Products should be protected from extreme temperatures and moisture. Product should be stored at controlled room temperature 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C), relative humidity of 30% to 40% and away from direct sun light. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I have been using this toner as I have combination skin. It leaves my face feeling tight and clean. Now that I am approaching 40 and live in a more humid environment with harsher winters should I switch to a hydrating toner ans which one? I want to fight aging, reduce lines, but retain moisture. Should I be switching from blue toner or orange or purple in the winter?
Asked by TJ
Official Answer By Murad
Both the Essential C Toner and the Hydrating Toner would be appropriate. If you have concerns regarding environmental damage, such as living in a more humid environment with a lot of sun, the Essential C Toner would be great! For more harsher times of the year, the Hydrating Toner would be a perfect choice! Was this answer helpful to you
Q

Asked by Jess

Q
I have combination oily skin and after using the cleansing wash and this toner my face is incredibly dry. should I change the wash, toner or both?
Asked by Marie
Official Answer By Murad
It is highly recommended to use a moisturizer with an SPF in the day and a moisturizer at night to hydrate your skin even if your skin is oily. The key with oily skin is to make sure you're hydrating. With no moisture at all your skin would become dehydrated and begin to over-compensate by producing more oil.Was this answer helpful to you
Q

Q
I've used this oner before but my question is I have been using the witch hazel (alcohol free) toner and I was wondering is it that bad to use another toner from another brand? Or no? I know the clarifying toner has alcohol so I'm kinda ehh bout it because I try not to use alcohol on my face AT ALL!
Asked by Esteban
Official Answer By Murad
Murad products are formulated to work together. Some Murad products do contain a certain type of alcohol. Alcohol, in the context of cosmetic formulations, is a frequently misunderstood ingredient. This is despite the fact that it can be extremely beneficial in a particular formula.  A mild cosmetic alcohol, Specially Denatured (SD) Alcohol (SDA) is an excellent delivery vehicle commonly used in astringents, toners, and gels.  SD Alcohol is not necessarily dehydrating to the skin when it is mixed with other moisture-binding ingredients. Clients with oily prone and acne prone skin can benefit from formulations containing SDA. Generally, SDA is a mild, non-dehydrating, non-irritating, cosmetic alcohol used as a vehicle to improve the efficacy of a particular product. Combined with other ingredients, it is an ideal vehicle to allow better skin penetration. Was this answer helpful to you

Does this have to be used with the 3 step system to see results? The whole system is too much for my budget right now :(
Asked by segg

The Clarifying Toner helps to kill bacteria, remove oil and surface debris while also gently tightening pores. That can help with acne breakouts however exfoliation is key to preventing clogged pores and breakouts. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
I have very oily skin, would this help after the clarifying cleanser?
Asked by oilymess
Official Answer By Murad
The Clarifying Toner will help reduce oil and tightens pores. You may want to try our Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 l PA++ too. Our oil mattifier is a shine-reducing moisturizer that creates an immediate matte surface and controls oil for up to 8 hours. Oil-Control Complex® helps regulate oil production while preserving moisture to provide a long-lasting matte finish. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Does this help with dark scars , I'm a 17yr old African American woman and lately there has been scarring on my face due to acne ... would this help
Asked by Mariam
Verified Reply - Brand ExpertThis toner was designed to help eliminate oil and dirt and to help regulate oil production. It does not contain ingredients that would reduce acne scarring. For this we would recommend Post-Acne Spot Lightening Gel, Item #: 2146523, this helps to fade discoloration caused by acne. You could also try AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, Item #: 2082342, this well help to speed up cell turnover to get rid of dullness and help minimize darkness. Or Intensive-C Radiance Peel - this is more like a mask that will immediately brighten and help reduce darker pigmentation caused by scarring or sun damage. Item #: 2243807Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I have sensitive skin and wanted to know if this product contains alcohol and if so how much?
Asked by Tammy
Verified Reply - Brand ExpertThis product does contain alcohol. The percentage amount is proprietary to our formula and we cannot give out those details. It does contain witch hazel and menthol which some with sensitive skin can find a bit too astringent. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Will this actually help cystic acne? The really really deep, never-surfacing painful acne?`
Asked by Beth
Verified Reply - Brand ExpertCyctic acne typically needs to be treated with medication as over the counter topical products cannot penetrate that deep into the skin. For this type of acne Dr. Murad always recommends you see a dermatologist. Was this answer helpful to you

This is AWESOME!

I have had bad skin since I was 12, and I'm almost 50 (!) now. I use various products, some high-end, some not, and generally not Murad, but this has got to be the best addition to my routine in a really long time. I've found that I need to use a benzoyl peroxide 2.5% product plus products with sa...

Good if you want no alcohol

I was looking for a toner without alcohol in it [...] I thought this product was good for those who are looking for non-alcohol toners but can still clean your face after washing. I was breaking out and was looking for a good toner. I used this for a week and had to return it because I thought it wa...

This toner can be harsh sometimes. It might burn like once a week but by god does my skin feel soooo clean after I use it. I have oily acne-prone skin so while I have to alter the rest of my routine on the occasional night it does zing, it really works wonders! 100% not for those with sensitive skin!

I dont even know how this product works unfortunately because I didn't survive using it more than twice. The smell of it made me gag so I had to return. I absolutely love Murad's clarifying acne face wash so I thought I would get this to go with the wash, but I just couldn't get past the smell.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
