I have dry, semi-sensitive, acne prone skin, mostly blackheads and hormonal acne along my jawline. I don't have oily skin, but I tend to get very warm and sweat...kind of like hot flashes. I'm only 30yo (#thyroidproblems). I've just switched to Clinique products about two weeks ago after stopping into Ulta. I basically replaced my entire skin care routine. An associate helped select which products to use and she recommended this toner. I love all the products, but I'm iffy on this one. After using the cleansing gel with my clarisonic my skin is bright and my pores are clear. Then I use a cotton pad to apply this clarifying lotion by gently wiping my face, and then wait a couple minutes for it to dry before putting on the acne+line correcting serum. Here's the thing though, my skin goes from bright and clear from cleansing and to dull with very noticeable pores. How can this make my texture look worse? What am I doing wrong? Is there another product you'd recommend?

This is the only Clarifying lotion that I can use from Clinique. It is very gentle and comforting on my skin without making it dry and tight like the other lotions that have alcohol in them. However, this particular clarifying lotion exfoliates my skin gently and perfectly, keeping it very healthy. I took advantage of the 30% friends and family sale and I bought the larger size.
