Shake well before using. Clean the skin thoroughly before applying this product. Using a cotton pad, cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
Precautions: For external use only. When using this product skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. If irritation occurs, only use one topical acne medication at a time. If pregnant or breast feeding, ask a health professional before us. Keep out of reach of children. Budget and user friendly
To start off I have dealt with textured and breakouts quite often. I noticed while using this product that my textured skin seemed to smooth out after 1 week use. I didn't use anything but PanOxyl to be able to give a true review. I will say to my suprise that it worked very well with my skin type. ...

PanOxyl Clarifying Exfoliant
I have been testing the PanOxyl Clarifying Exfoliant for a week now and can't say that I see any noticeable difference. I have a lot of blackheads on my nose and chin so I was hoping that this product would help clear it up but they're still there. I was using a generic Salicylic Acid product prior ...

Works great but I don't love the packaging

Bottom line is that I definitely noticed a difference in my hormonal acne since using this. Although, I don't love the packaging. It's pure liquid so the most logical step is to put it on a cotton round, but I just feel like product gets wasted that way. The dispenser makes it hard to apply to your hands or face though. The consistency is water like so once it's absorbed I don't feel anything on my skin. I used it about once a day consistently and noticed results after a week or so.
Works nicely!

Even in my 40s I'm still getting acne! WTH! I've used so many products and they ultimately dry the pimple to oblivion and youre left with flakey crusts that I'll slather makeup on to cover. Instead, I found this to be rather gentle! It felt like water. Light and absorbed right into my skin. It's reminiscent of some very expensive exfoliates on the market now, but much more affordable!
Not the product for me

I've been using this for a few weeks now and had higher hopes for the product. It does caution that it can make your skin dry if you use it too much, luckily, I didn't have that issue. It leaves my skin feeling clean and may have prevented some of my smaller pimples from getting bigger. It didn't stop the small breakouts I get, nor help the the hard beads of oil I usually deal with on my forehead.
Doesn't stink!

I received the PanOxyl clarifying exfoliant 2% salicylic acid acne treatment solution for free as part of an incentivized ad campaign in exchange for my honest review. I've struggled from treatment resistant acne as well as dry skin for over 10 years so I wasn't really expecting this to help me and sadly, it didn't make a difference with my skin. I will say that I like the concept of the product as well as the fact that it doesn't have a strong chemical smell to it. It's basically the same consistency as a toner (watery). I wouldn't personally purchase this product but I like the idea of it!
Great for everyday!

I really like the PanOxyl Clarifying Exfoliant! I wasn't sure about it at first since I'm not used to it being such a watery type liquid, but I use it after a shower by pouring a bit on my fingers and then just rubbing it into my face! I like that I don't have to add any additional moisturizer on top of it because it isn't drying! Which is something I've had issues with in the past. I especially like it around my period because that's when I tend to break out and this seems to keep the breakouts to a minimum. It's a simple to use product that goes a long way! The only thing I didn't really love is the smell but once it's dry you can't smell it so it's fine!

can this be used on scalp pimples? How often?

- Official Answer By PanOxyl - Brand EngageSince we haven't clinically tested use of this product on hair, we can't confirm with absolute certainty but the scalp is an extension of skin so it should be fine. Would just suggest limiting application to the affected area and get as little on hair as you can and 2x/day is likely ok as long as you don't notice significant changes to your hair. Was this answer helpful to you
