Smelled great, hair felt great but color not so great.

I was so excited to try this shampoo as I haven't used any purple hair care products on my blonde hair since I was a platinum blonde (I since have transitioned to a more natural bright blonde). I always use high quality hair products at home but they never seem to feel or smell the same as when I ...am having them applied to me in the salon. This was an exception, it smelt WONDERFUL and really felt like a high quality salon shampooing experience. It recommended to use gloves but I was already in the shower and had left them in the other room (no problem though, my hands weren't left purple). It lathered up wonderfully and a little went a long way. It says you can shampoo twice and leave the second one on for 3-5 minutes, I did two shampoos but only left the second one on for the minimum amount of time. I followed up with the conditioner (which I have also reviewed) and my hair felt pretty good and smelled awesome. Unfortunately though as I started drying my hair I noticed it looked dull/grey and lacked it's usual shine. I dried it off and tried looking in different lights but alas, my hair felt great but the color looked sad. Thankfully this wasn't permanent and with a few washes with my regular shampoo I was able to get my hair almost back to normal. I think if you are a platinum icy blonde this would work great, or if you are not a regular visitor to the salon. I color (highlight and tone) my hair at the salon every 6-7 weeks and went very recently. Perhaps due to my hair being colored recently the shampoo over toned my hair or perhaps purple shampoo just doesn't agree with my tone of blonde. As the results aren't permanent I am going to give it another go just before my next salon visit and to see how it turns out. Overall if you know purple shampoos work for you then give this one a go for sure. *DISCLAIMER* I received this product for free for testing purposes.
