Really solid brush for a skin-like finish

My skin really doesn't appreciate makeup brushes- the texture feels prickly, they hold germs and smells and residues, are more difficult to clean and dry properly, they can give a streaky finish which requires more abrasive blending to smooth away, etc. However, I don't have these issues with this b...rush. While I wouldn't recommend using this exactly in the way the website suggests (where you dispense the foundation directly onto the brush and the apply it to the skin and then blend), it really is great for blending your liquid and cream bases into the skin, while getting a skin like finish. The density of the bristles and that flared shape really help push product into the skin without collapsing the brush or just pushing product deeper into the bristles. It takes a lot less effort move or blend, and I appreciate that. I personally prefer using a flat foundation brush or makeup spatula to lay the foundation on my skin initially (if I want full coverage) or putting some foundation on the back of my hand or a makeup palette and then a small amount of product with this brush, stretching and blending it as I go, and then repeating for more coverage if necessary. I find that putting foundation into dense brushes like this can result in the bristles becoming more stuck together and getting enough buildup that the brush is more difficult to clean. Brushes with small divets or wells for the foundation do better if you want to dispense product directly into or on the brush. That small setback aside, this really is a great brush, and if you use it in the way I suggest, it will create a great, natural finish, while still being easy to deep clean with a brush bath or refresh with some brush cleaning wipes or sprays.
