Pleasantly surprised but....

As far as the product itself, it really doesn't get much simpler than this. This is the type of product that you simply apply how you want, sponge, fingers, brush, it doesn't matter & go. You can apply other makeup on top without issue or not & the product is not heavy & the coverage is more like a ...light to light-medium w/a natural to dewy finish depending on your skin type & what you layer it with, along with how many hours it's been on your face. I'm oily/combo & I was in need of some blotting after a few hours. But it still looked nice afterwards. It's not a long wearing foundation, it's a tinted moisturizer, just like it says. Something I noticed was, although the shade selection is very small; too small, it is a very forgiving product because you don't need to find an exact shade match for this to look nice - that's the nice thing using a product with lighter coverage, but the shades do run a bit light. For example, if you're normally light, you might want to try the medium. If you're medium, try the medium-tan, etc. Currently I'm a solid medium & I'm using med-tan & this shade would still work for me if I were to get a tan too. But I could probably get away with the medium right now if I was wearing it with other makeup, like bronzer, blush etc. but a medium probably wouldn't work if I got tan. But the med-tan or is it called med-deep, well that's the shade that would get the most use. I hope this gives you an idea of how flexible the shades can be. The biggest issue is that there aren't any shades for deeper skin tones. That's something that I just can't understand at this point. Why launch a very decent product with a very incomplete shade range??? C'mon Wet n Wild, you can do better than that!
