Q
will this lighten my elbows. They look very dark when my arms not bent.
Asked by No Beauty Buff
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% has not been tested for use on the elbows. You may wish to target rough and bumpy skin on the elbows by exfoliating with Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner, and following up with Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm for hydration :-)Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Why can you not use this with peptides? I use a peptide moisturizer.
Asked by hk
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
We do not recommend using Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% with Peptide products as it can increase sensitivity and/or decrease the efficacy of either product. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Does this product expire?
Asked by Val
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
The shelf life of most DECIEM products is three (3) years from the date of manufacture when unopened and stored at room temperature. Upon opening, please refer to the period-after-opening (PAO) symbol to identify the lifetime of the product. We do not recommend using products beyond their lifetime to ensure efficacy and stability. Some products may need to be refrigerated after opening. These storage instructions will be provided on the packaging as well. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can it be used with glow recipe blackberry retinol serum?
Asked by Lauren
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to comment on the pairing of our products with those of other brands. We recommend consulting with your doctor/dermatologist, gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time, and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can I use this on an area of my body that has hyperpigmintation that isn't my face?
Asked by Does it work on other areas?
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA has been tested for use on the face only. If you wish to use it elsewhere, we strongly recommend applying a small patch test before proceeding. You may wish to explore Niacinamide 5% Face and Body Emulsion. Was this answer helpful to you

This stuff has saved my skin

I was suffering from bad hormonal acne on my chin. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on antibiotics for three months and prescribed very agressive creams. I tried it for three months but my acne got worse. I still had the Azelaic Acid Suspension laying around and decided to give it a go, in o...

Received oxidized serum

This was my first time ordering and sadly I received an already oxidized serum which is supposed to be unoppened, most probably it's a batch that is expired as the website states unoppened products have 3 years shelf life. I will seek to return this product and hope there won't be much hassle in t...

Literally just change the packaging

This product has helped me so much with my acne the only thing is it's packaging is absolutely horrendous. It is so hard to get product out or too much comes out. I wish they would package it differently and make a bigger size.

I gave this a try about a year ago when my skin barrier was damaged and had lots of acne. I gave up thinking it was making things worse. Now that I've worked with a dermatologist to gety acne under control, I have noticed a reduction in the red spots I had post-acne. I use it every morning and have no irritation. It is great for the price!

Works miracles on my hyperpigmentation spots. I use it once daily and it's faded my spots without irritation or causing breakouts. I've been using this for years now and absolutely love it.

Its an affordable acid. I definitely enjoyed it as my first azaelic acid. I used this in combination with the la roche b5 serum and saw the slow progress working.
