Most Helpful Positive Review Great Investment I am very fair skinned and very dedicated to sun protection and skin care. I used to use only moisturizers/BB creams that included high SPF, but since I've incorporated the La Roche-Posay facial sunscreen into my daily routine, I'm able to use lots of different products. I use a daily moisturizer, then this sunscreen, then primer, then foundation/CC cream. This sunscreen is light, absorbs quickly, doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy, and although it has a slight sunscreeny smell at first it disappears very quickly. It does NOT negatively affect your daily skincare/make up routine at all. As for the price, it is definitely higher than I typically spend, but for the quality and the small amount you use every day, it is VERY worth it.
Most Helpful Critical Review Excellent Up To A Point I've ben using this product for about a month now. I love the way this goes on, not greasy or too white. Not as watery as the Neutrogena product I had been using. Blends in well, plays well with makeup. I put this on and then foundation. Very satisfied to that point.
However, I just went out with my sunglasses on the first "hot" day of the year. Where my face got a bit sweaty under my sunglasses, my skin turned an interesting shade of neon yellow. I am quite fair, by the way. Not flattering, to say the least. I almost want to try it on a very hot day to see if it's the sweat or sweat plus sunglasses causing the reaction, but it won't be in public.
While I will finish the bottle (too pricey to pitch), it will be on cool days only. I may try the other versions LRP has, but will read reviews more closely. A pity, as I love a sunscreen with an SPF this high and the product feels wonderful. I wish I could get the French version.

A little oily on my skin but I really loved the feel and look of it. Didn't make me breakout at all, and you definitely don't need a moisturizer on top of it
Great sunscreen but small amount 5
Alexis from Detroit
I love this sunscreen. It is one of the only I've found that wont cause my skincare or primer to pill up or make my makeup slide off. Only thing I dislike is it's quite pricey for the lack of product. Very small amount. With that being said one bottle usually lasts me a month when applying two fingers worth everyday (like makeupforwoc taught us!) so not horrible but amount needs to be increased to at least 2 ounces or price needs lowered.
I bought this over 5

I bought this over the summer because I knew I wasn't getting enough sun protection and I'd heard good things about this SPF. I love the formula because it's light and didn't feel greasy on my naturally oily skin. I'll definitely buy it again.
I am a huge 5
tabbymarie03 from undisclosed
I am a huge sunscreen user, I apply every morning and always reapply throughout the day! This is one of my go to sunscreens. It is a liquid that absorbs and spreads so easily. It does not burn my eyes, leave a white cast or make my skin oily. This product has never irritated or broke my skin out. It honestly leaves my skin feeling so soft. This sunscreen is wonderful and will give you all the protection you need. I love the how thin the bottle is, it fits nicely in my purse. It is a little pricey but this is an all around great product and I 100% recommend.

Best sun block that 5
eslinr1 from undisclosed
Best sun block that doesn't leave white cast. Easily melts into skin. Also keeps my skin looking dewy and hydrated. Also blends well with make up. Very gentle on skin and no strong scent. Use tinted mineral to reapply every couple hours to stay protected.
ZERO stars. Literally waste of money 1

I returned the minute I bought it after opening the box.. the bottle felt literally EMPTY , which now after reading some reviews makes total sense. One person said they went through 3 bottles of this in 1 month!! What a joke. We're supposed to be applying SPF LIBERALLY for Max protection and they make this bottle as though you'd only be using the tiniest amount. LOL
Terrible allergic reaction 1
Liz from CA
My skin is sensitive but well-managed, and this gave me a horrible allergic reaction after only a few hours. My skin is bright red, and I'm hoping that it calms down or I'll need to see my dermatologist. Be cautious with this one!
Perfect for Oily Skin and Facial Hair 5
Jake from Austin, TX
I keep my beard trimmed to a 1 on the sides and this is perfect for making sure I've got adequate sun protection. It doesn't leave a residue or a tint on facial hair. It's matte but not flat matte. By the end of the day I've got a pretty good glow going on but I love the blurred effect it has. It's a pretty thin liquid so the two finger rule doesn't work here, but I simply use four fingers to measure it out and I've got enough for my face and neck.
It's a really good 4

It's a really good sunscreen, however, it does not melt into the skin all that well. It sort of sits on the skin for a while. It's best if used on days you won't wear makeup. Overall it's a nice sunscreen with great UV protection.

Overall it's pretty great, 4

Overall it's pretty great, but it does leave a white cast if you have a darker skin tone. It's very lightweight so you can't feel it on your face at all.

Anthelois Ultra LIght is a wonderful facial sunscreen. I can't even tell its on.
Great for Dry and Sensitive Skin 5
Millie from Boston, MA
My face rashes easily with any sunscreen and even the expensive ones have made my face burn with irritation. This has been the only sunscreen that my skin has liked! my daughter has terrible eczema and I use this on her also. Her skin does not rash either. Love This! worth every penny!
Doesn't leave skin feeling sticky 5
Rh04 from California
I've been using this sunscreen every day for over 3 months and it's my favorite sunscreen I've used. It's very light and my skin doesn't feel sticky even after two layers. The consistency is very loose/runny like Paula's Choice RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50. When massaging it into my skin the silky texture feels a lot like Benefit's POREfessional Pore Minimizing Primer.
It doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything on my skin and looks good under makeup too. The only con so far is that I notice it gathers in the creases of my neck and looks like faint white lines after wearing it for a few hours.
I'm on my second bottle of it and have already bought my third.
Best sunscreen I've ever 5
alexandriah from undisclosed
Best sunscreen I've ever used!! It's a staple in my skincare routine. It leaves a dewy finish on my skin but when I'm not really looking for that I set with setting powder. I 1000% recommend everyone try it!

This is really good if you don't like sunscreen that leaves shiny skin. My favorite very soon is the tinted one. I would like a less liquid presentation
Great sunscreen 5
Adrian from New York, NY
This is my favorite facial sunscreen. It provides the coverage that I need, and makes my skin feel silky. Not sticky or heavy. Wonderful product.

Double Highly recommended for who are finding a sun cream while using treatment. Very good the price, packing and formula. I have used it for 3 years. Perfectttttt
Ok, but didn't live up to my expectations 2
Fernando from Tucson, AZ
I'm always on the hunt for a comfortable sunscreen that plays well with makeup. I have several that look and feel great on bare, moisturized skin, but none of them give me the undetectable/natural finish I can achieve without it. Sad it's still an issue in 2022. I have to avoid makeup or skip spf at this point.
Anyway, I saw a YouTuber who uses this sunscreen under light/everyday makeup and it gave him this really smooth, glowy base to work on which is what I'm always after. Reading the product description, I was thrown off by the finish being matte but after seeing it in action, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt thinking there's no way it's anything less than maybe a dewy satin. Unfortunately once I purchased it I found out he used the mineral version not the chemical, but since it's the same line and product claims I figured it'd be fine.
It's definitely still like a milk. It has a nice slip, easy to apply and pat in, feels weightless and comfortable. It looked smooth and dewy but once absorbed, it looked way more matte than I expected. I was already a little let down because I find these to only work for no makeup days and sure enough with foundation on top it clung to dry patches and settled into fine lines. This doesn't happen with my usual skin prep, and it was further confirmed to be the sunscreen because of the white lines I had around my neck. I used less product than i probably should've, didn't even sweat and my neck is pretty slim. Sun protection was good though, no pink flush I sometimes get when I use SPF30.
I tried using it again with a little bit more product, more careful exfoliation and extra hydration and the result was better. No excessive drying, didn't cling to dry patches, but I still had white fine lines where the sunscreen settled around my eyes, mouth, and neck. Huge bummer. Not even that great for a no makeup day because of the setting issue and now I'm apprehensive about purchasing the mineral one. Sadly, the endless search for a holy grail sunscreen continues.
This is the lightest 5
tanushrees from undisclosed
This is the lightest sunscreen I have come across. Its actually also very moisturising. It has a very thin consistency and doesn't feel greasy like other sunscreens. I like the tinted one too as it blurs some minor imperfections. This one does leave a slight whitish cast but its not overwhelming.
Light as a feather! 5
MarianneA from Long Island, NY
Very light and comfortable. No smell doesn't irritate or give a cast to my skin. Just be sure to shake it thoroughly.
This is a perfect 5

This is a perfect layering sunscreen. This works well with my morning skin care routine. Layers well on top of serums, cream and oil. Does not leave you with an oily feeling. Locks in all your products. Also layers well under makeup. Does not turn me into a greasy mess which i have experienced with other brands.
It's a decent sunscreen, 3
meaganc41 from undisclosed
It's a decent sunscreen, but the shades are not super forgiving and it has an orange cast if you're fair, so it could use more variety in that department. The packaging is convenient and makes it easy to get the correct amount.
