Works Like a Dream

I had first gotten introduced to this line from a sample from maybe four or five years ago, tried it, loved it, and promptly forgotten it. But, having moved from CA to WI my showering habits quickly needed a re-vamp. The water here is hard, and my hair tangles like crazy. I couldn't afford to use to... expensive salon brands because I am in grad school so money is tight. That being said, I was going through drugstore brands like water; the 5.89 'extreme treatment' conditioners and shampoo cleansers lasted a week in my hands. So Amino Acid Shampoo comes into my life. Yes, it is a cleanser (judging by the contents and label) so it works if you live in an area with hard water and your hair just feels like gunk. Yes, I do have to wash my hair everyday, but I have oily hair, and always will. Nothing is going to change that. (I am multi-racial, with thin, very long, wavy hair, but I have A LOT OF HAIR that tangles like mad). So it cleans well in extreme hard water, leaves my hair detangled, rinses easily (a blessing for those with long hair) smells great, is a bit pricey for someone who usually buys store brands, but works just as well as the more expensive top of the line salon brands. The bottom line is, if you are looking for a shampoo that works on a) tangles b) rinses easily c) oily hair d) thick or fine hair e) hard water build-up this stuff is for you. Sidenote: Both my husband and I use it, and he doesn't find the scent to be too 'girly'. He has thick, curly hair, and a flakey scalp and finds the shampoo to work just as well for him. That being said this shampoo isn't for everyone, we all have different hair-types, but if you have similar problems, this stuff is a lifesaver, even if you have to pay a bit more.
