wanted to like it
A lot of beauty gurus were raving about this so I finally gave it a try. It had a noticeable chemical scent and it just didn't feel soft to the touch like other sponges do. Plus, the pink dye kept coming out after every wash - none of the other sponges I'd used before would bleed out dye like that. ...

Inexpensive - But Great
For reference, I'm in my early-mid 40s, so aging skin, but I also have a great skincare routine that leaves me with a nice luminous glow. I've been using this sponge daily for a month. I dampen my sponge and it gives me a smooth finish. I use skin tints and at first I was only using this sponge, loved the airbrush finish it gave, and works good with the Milani Make It Last Setting Spray and the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless setting spray. I decided to play around and use the RT Glow Brush to apply my Charlotte Tilbury Unreal stick skin tint as well as my Fenty Eaze Drop liquid skin tint, and then follow up with this dampen sponge. The results are BEAUTIFUL. I didn't clean my sponge before using so I was concerned at first because after the first few uses, and mind you I am rinsing daily, I would see some pink dye in my sink. So I washed with warm water and my RT Brush and Sponge cleanser and didnt see any more dye. This will stay as part of my makeup application routine.
Soaked up my foundation before I could put it on my face
As soon as i dipped the beauty blender In the fountain it soaked it up maybe its just because of my dollar store foundation but idk it also has a fish smell to it

Breaks down quickly
I like to try new sponges every now and then and I wash and take care of each one the same. This one breaks down much quicker than any I've used in the past. The material starts to pull apart and even when I wash it you can tell it's not even.
.
this is my first blender and it worked like a charm. not sure if it's the blender or the makeup I use, but everything is very simple, smooth, and weightless. (does anyone know any tips on cleaning these things?)
