It doesn't foam up too much but is gentle and effective at removing makeup. I use a small silicone face scrubbie, and the pump makes it a little hard to control each pump and it squirts a little more chaotically than I would like. I need about 3 squirts to get the lather that I like. I use this less often and prefer the Mugwort cleanser, which lathers like an absolute dream with just a pea-sized drop. I do like how this one feels very moisturizing after just the cleanse.

I used to double cleanse using the Softymo deep cleansing oil and the Dokdo cleanser but I would always get little bumps on my forehead and small whiteheads on my cheeks. It took me forever to learn that the Softymo has pore-clogging ingredients, like shea butter, therefore it was the culprit! I immediately searched for a new cleanser and found this one! I ran it through an ingredient searching website and it is free of any pore-clogging ingredients. This cleanser gets so much gunk out and doesn't hurt my eyes at all. I will say it has a citrus scent from the bergamot oil, so caution to those who don't like that!
