Most Helpful Positive Review Cerave knocks it out of the park...but is it inclusive?
This sunscreen has a wonderful texture. It goes on smooth like Cerave's other lotions, and leaves a nice subtle glow. My experience with other tinted mineral sunscreens is that they overly matte or still make me look washed out somehow but this one just looks like my skin. This is definitely the best mineral/tinted sunscreen I have found so far, and far cheaper than what I was using before. It includes other skin-improving ingredients standard to many Cerave lotions, including Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinimide. It also has Salicylic acid in it, which is a bit confusing to me since I was under the impression that SA and other acne fighting acids make your skin more sensitive to the sun, but I also just read something about SA protecting against UV damage?
My only question would be: I'm quite fair-skinned and a bit skeptical that this product would be equally invisible on darker tones. I can't test this myself, but just wondering what other people's experiences are? I know that good mineral sunscreen options can be harder to find for darker-skinned people. I would love to see Cerave have another option that comes out darker than peach!
Most Helpful Critical Review Great protection, but it broke me out :(
I tried this sunscreen out for about a month and a half. The sun protection was fantastic, but something in the sunscreen didn't agree with my skin. I work in daycare and we take the kids outside twice a day for approximately an hour each time. There were days when we were outside for four hours and the sunscreen held up. The sunscreen is a little orange but it was so blendable that it didn't really show. It does rub off on the inside and edges of the mask. It is harder to remove than most sunscreens but I suppose that can be a con or pro depending on how you look at it. Sometimes it stayed on through an oil and cream cleanser but if you're patient you can get it all off. I recommend this product just not for me!

This product is amazing for summer time. Leaves a light feel on your face and a good tint where I even looks like you are wearing foundation when your not. Absolutely amazing
I love this product but wish it was inclusive
Luna from Michigan
I love love this product I think it blurs my face beautifully I don't even need foundation I love it, it's horrible under makeup makes your concealer and foundation slide it's disgusting but that's all sunscreen in the US I wish it game in different shades cause this is perfect for my medium light skin tone but pale or dark would turn orange or grey.
Kay from Minnesota
I have fair skin. More so translucent skin. I love this tinted sunscreen because it adds a little color to my face, like I'm wearing light foundation. I do not wear makeup so this is perfect for a little something on the face. It isn't noticeable on me, nor does it leave a white cast. I will be repurchasing!
Horrible white cast
Morgan from New Jersey
I'm African American so my review is for those of my complexion, I can't speak for those with a lighter complexion. But I bought this expecting it to blend in with my skin and it was like any other sunscreen - white cast left on my face and made my skin dry. I'd return it if I could.
mel from ny
way too greasy which is impressive considering it's a mineral sunscreen which tends to be drying.
Not for the fair skin
Aly from HI
The lightest shade is still too dark for me that I have to use my own sunscreen underneath it to get adequate protection without making my face appear too tan, then I have to set it with a white powder to tone it down. If the tint was light enough for my skin tone I think I would have liked it.
Awesome light summer coverage
Jade from Ct
I love this product to wear alone but be careful when applying a setting powder, it might cake up if the sunscreen isn't dry.
Not that good
Soleil from Salinas, CA
Pros: Tinted, mineral based and great for sensitive skin. Doesn't sting my eyes
Cons: Too dark of tint, super heavy and greasy and it never sets down. Stains my clothes.
Works, but uncomfy
Jen from Kansas
It works well enough and it is hydrating, but it leaves a white cast (and I'm only a shade lighter than sour cream). It also doesn't set well under makeup. Whenever I wear it my fine lines and wrinkles are over exaggerated. Which is annoying for the price point.
ellis from seattle
perfect for all my needs, beats the Glossier skin tint for me
not for fair skin tbh:/

i'm very fair skinned and bought this because the pic showed it blended into light skin but it was very orange and too dark even after rubbing in. i gave 4 stars cause i'm sure it's a good product but def too dark for fair skin than showed in the picture
Alex from Kansas City, KS
It's okay. It's too greasy for me and the tint is not that good. I don't know why Cerave is promoting this sunscreen claiming that it'll match every skin tone. They need to fix that.
Good sunscreen but not for fair skin
Tala from Washington
This sunscreen was recommended to me by my dermatologist, its pretty thick , its not lightly tinted i feel like its almost medium coverage , i have an olive skin tone and this was pretty dark for me its almost like an orange tone , but i like how its hydrating and it doesn't break me out
Super glowy :)
Abby from Maryland
I love this tinted SPF. It leaves your skin super glowy. I will say if you have super oily skin to make sure you set this with a powder as it can be a bit greasy.

Skin color: deep/ dark skinned
Foundation shade: Too Faced Spiced Rum
Skin type: oily
Skin concerns: oil, hyperpigmentation/ acne scarring
Ok let's get into it.
I've been on the hunt for a non greasy sunscreen that protects me, doesn't leave a white cast & doesnt burn my eyes. I was pretty impressed with this one because it checked most of those boxes. It dries down pretty matte & stays matte for the whole day. The chemicals in it don't irritate my eyes, spf 30 protects my skin pretty well but I can't reapply this sunscreen because it leaves me looking casket ready T_T
It takes about an hour after applying for the grey cast to decrease, but even then, it goes down to like a 2 or 3 on the ashiness scale when I need a zero. I ordered this so long ago, I don't think I can return it so I guess I'll wear it under my foundation or on my body but it was almost great.
Pros: non greasy, non irritating to my eyes & skin
Cons: you have to be lighter than me to wear it w/out a grey cast. Save your money if you don't pass the paper bag test.
Not A Fan 😢
Sarah T from LA
I had high hopes for this product but it didn't work out for me. Like others have said, this is more tinted than I thought, leaving my skin orange. In general it just left my skin feeling heavy and greasy, not to mention the odd smell. Overall I'm not the biggest fan.
LOL I'm not even that pale but this is ORANGE
RosieCheeks from Chicago,IL
This product is so orange on my skin and never dries down I'm literally orange like an oompa loompa and if I even go near my face this slides off.
Loved but broke me out
Libbs from Michigan
I loved this the first few times I used it. But the last few times my face got all bumpy like I had a rash! Now I'm worried it's going to take forever to get my skin back to normal. The coverage feels good and I love the tint but my skin looks horrible now!
DONT BUY THIS
Jules from rialto
i thought it was gonna be good since i love all of CeraVe products but save your money i left my face very pale and didn't blend at all BEWARE!!!!
Causes break outs
Rey from Nevada
Everyone and their mother has been raving about Cerave but every single product I've used from this brand has broken me out. Every time I've used this sunscreen I got giant pimples under my skin and it sucks. But thought I would give this a try. I will not be repurchasing
Lara from .
I love this sunscreen! Many people say it is too orange or leaves a white cast, but I think it doesn't. I have pretty pale/fair skin and it matched perfectly.
Definitely buying again
T1ff from Colorado
I instantly loved how smoothly this applied, and how well it just blended in with my tan skin with zero white cast, exactly what I've been looking for in a spf. This product gives you a nice sheer glow that blends in well with concealer if you wear it, gives off almost a no makeup makeup look which I love.
Too Deep for Fair Skin
RKK from Washington
As others have mentioned this turned quite orange on me. It's also much too deep a shade for fair skin and anyone fair/light with pink undertones
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
Yes yes yes from Massachusetts
This is perfect for people who don't wear makeup but still want a smoother complexion also while protecting your skin. I use a Beaty blender to put it on and then I dab my face with a soft brush with a little bronzer powder which helps set the sunscreen so it doesn't smear all over masks and clothes. The reason I started using this was because I started on a acne topical treatment that was drying my skin but clearing all of my cystic acne (the acne was from masks, I never had the problem until a couple of months of wearing masks and not washing my face properly). It was recommended to use a sunscreen if I go outside especially after washing my face and this has helped a lot! It does enough to cover the little bit of scarring that I have as a well. It would be nice if they made a variety of tints so that way every skin color can use it! But overall it's a great product and I'm happy I stumbled upon it. I probably won't ever use regular sunscreen on my face anymore 🤣

I wanted to love this product so much but I didn't... I have dry skiing and I found it to be very greasy and the tint turned kinda grey on me
