Most Helpful Positive Review a SHOUT OUT for the SPONGE TIPS! (foam)
To all the haters *jk*: don't be too quick to brush these tools off. (ha, like the pun?) Aside from shadow, I use these to help diffuse gel liners, cream eye bases and even adjust lipstain/lipstick applications. (I think they work better than a lip brush, since they place the product over a larger surface more evenly) And for powder eye shadow- these are IDEAL for packing on glittery/metallic shades to the lid. You just press into place! If you take some time to gently wipe clean, they will last a bit longer before disposal. On the go- I see why these are often included in small palettes. As mentioned, you use the flat/wider side to place color and can lightly use the side (at an angle) for minimal blending/diffusing. In no way do they replace brushes for this, but it's convenient to have in a pinch/for touch ups. Haha, brands like Dior and Tom Ford who include them in their palettes can't be wrong now, can they? ;)
Most Helpful Critical Review Shadow Applicators by Ulta
I am not a fan of using shadow brushes. I do use shadow brushes, but generally only when highlighting the brow bone area. I feel like applicators give better coverage. Years ago Ulta sold applicators that were FAR BETTER quality than these. The previous applicators were all white and the sponge tips were actually sponges, not foam. They were made from the same material that foundation "wedge" applicators are made from. They lasted much longer than what is sold in Ulta today. I have asked several times about the previous product, but no one in Ulta seems to know about them. It could be that they did not work at Ulta when these were part of their product line. I even brought in one of the older applicators, but no one recognized them. So these work, but they are more abrasive than the sponge kind. And the foam pops off after some usage. I would prefer the others, but they do not seem to be sold anywhere.

Ok so Im over 40 and grew up using the applicators that came with the eyeshadow. These are MUCH better. They just work better than brushes in my opinion. The blending ability is unmatched and it doesnt take as long. Get you some!

I was not the biggest fan! They were kind of tough to use for me, so I gave the ones I bought to my mom and she loved them!

Used these for years!

I use these exclusively for eyeshadow. I tossed brushes and reusable applications after a nasty eye infection and haven't looked back. These are perfect and waste no product. I recommend these to everyone I know. I hope and pray they don't stop making them, or change the current manufacturer!

Sponge head foam is thin and flimsy. I would not repurchase.
Pack on the shadow

I bought several Lo-Fi Lip Mousses by Urban Decay.
All of their applicators wear out and fall off so that you have to put it on with fingertips or one of these.
These work perfectly for the finish I want even tho they won't fit in the case.
I love them

In a world full of makeup brushes, these are extremely hard to find! In a city as large as Ft Worth, Ulta was my saving grace on this one. I buy two at a time, because they run out of them frequently.

The applicators you get w/eyeshadow don't last long & always cleaning brushes to apply another color. Never run out.
Janiceann from Tn
These are perfect eyeshadow replacements. Originals never last as long as powder does. Also great for corrections.
