- Q
Is this an everyday shampoo?
- Asked by Damaris
- Official Answer By Redken - BEHi there! Thank you for reaching out about our Blondage Color Depositing Purple Shampoo. That is a great question. We actually do not recommend using the Color Extend Blondage Purple Shampoo as your everyday shampoo. Because this formula contains high-performance violet pigments to neutralize brassy yellow tones, using it daily can cause your blonde to look too cool or even take on a slight purple tint. For the best results, we recommend using it 2 to 3 times a week, alternating with a color-protecting shampoo like our Acidic Bonding Concentrate to maintain your hair's strength and shine. Pro-Tip: Think of Blondage as your 'toning treatment' rather than your daily cleanser. Once you've achieved your desired cool tone, you can even drop down to using it just once a week for maintenance! Was this answer helpful to you

Is this the same formula as the Blondage color extend??
- Asked by Jamiee
- Official Answer By Redken - BEHi there! Thank you for reaching out about our Blondage Color Depositing Purple Shampoo. The Redken Color Extend Blondage Color Depositing Purple Shampoo is a key part of our Color Extend Blondage system! Its unique formula is specifically designed with purple pigment to tone and neutralize brassy yellow undertones in blonde hair. While it's designed to work synergistically with other products in the Color Extend Blondage line for overall blonde care, its formula is distinct due to its color-depositing capabilities. Was this answer helpful to you

Simply awesome 👏
For reference, I have light brown with blonde highlighted hair (all covering a good bit of gray) which is long and naturally wavy with some curls. My hair is NOT thick, but I have a lot of it. (Think BonJovi 1980's!) I have tried many violet color depositing shampoos and conditioners always trying t...

Smelled great, hair felt great but color not so great.
I was so excited to try this shampoo as I haven't used any purple hair care products on my blonde hair since I was a platinum blonde (I since have transitioned to a more natural bright blonde). I always use high quality hair products at home but they never seem to feel or smell the same as when I ...

Dry the hair
Due to ingredients I assume, it dries my hair too much, not recommend for treated blond hair.
I would buy this product again

Love the way this product brought my grey back to life.
My holy grail purple shampoo
Hair Type Very Curly Hair
For a while I was using Amika's purple shampoo as recommended by my hair stylist. Unless I left it in my hair for like 15+ mins at a time, it didn't tone my hair at all. It also made my ends so dry they felt like straw. So I decided to try something new which led me to try Redeken's blondage shampoo. Not only does this tone my hair after only leaving it in for like 2-3 mins, but my hair feels so soft after using it. It's become a staple in my haircare routine. 10/10 recommend.
Mediocre at best.
I have faithfully used Pureology purple shampoo and conditioner to keep the tone of my hair cool and eliminate brass. I decided to give Redken a try when it was on sale and I instantly regretted it. My hair was left feeling extremely dry, tangled and with much more visible breakage. Redken leaves my hair extremely staticky even when paired with high-end leave in products. I have never had these issues with Pureology, so I ditched the Redken and never looked back.
product
i have been using this for years its a overall great product, however i normally just go to my local ulta and grab some. this time i wanted 2 specifc shampoos as well as this purple shampoo. so i decided to order it all online instead. i have just gotten my hair done and need a good shampoo and conditioner for the first wash because i dont want to strip my toner. anyway, i paid for 1-2 day shipping which is a extra $25 and my order will not come in time. i find it absolutely ridiculous that i am paying a arm and leg for my purchases alone but to pay a EXTRA $25 and it not be delivered is very disappointing.
