Most Helpful Positive Review In love I finally bought this dryer after months of reading the reviews and justifying the cost. I have long thick hair that takes forever to blow dry and straighten. I dread the process!!
I used this blow dryer for the first time this morning and loved it!! It dried my hair evenly & quickly. My hair was not a massive frizzy mess once it was dry. I would invest in this product and the product line again and again.
Note: So the ulta store in my area has 20% off coupon out right now, hence why I bought it now. I went to check out and the clerk told me it was not good on Dry Bar brand. I was bummed but wanted it anyways. As she rang me up I mentioned that I had seen on the online reviews that people had used this coupon. Well sure enough she did a price check and scanned the coupon and it worked! We had to void and redo the transaction which saved me $50! So don't be afraid to ask them to try the coupon 😉.
Most Helpful Critical Review Regretful purchase I purchased based on such great reviews. I hated the color but decided I could live with it if I loved it. I was surprised at how heavy the dryer was, especially with the attachment on. The cool shot bottom was not easy to press or use and the buttons were in an awkward place on the handle. I kept turning the dryer off accidentally. Also, the cool shot button was not cool enough for me. The filter cover was hard to take off. It didn't dry my hair any faster than my old 1875 watt Revlon which I had for 5 years. I have overprocessed, coarse but thinning hair. If my hair were healthier this may have given me better results. I only noticed a slight difference overall but not enough to keep it. I tried it twice before returning it. It's just too pricey to justify keeping it. I believe with the right drying techniques such as using a roundbrush and the right products like Kenra's blowout spray, you can achieve great results with most any hairdryer without spending a lot of money.

I just returned the Rusk speed freak and bought this. Day and night difference. It even comes with at 24 month manufacturers warranty. I love it and I hope it lasts forever!
Dryer fried after 1 year. 1

Loved this dryer at first. But then one day heard a pop and no more heat. Customer Service couldn't do anything for me. Even tried asked about getting a new heating element to fix and nothing. Big waste.
Excellent so far! 5

Only used it 3-4 times so far, but it's light and powerful. And it's pretty. Perfect.
I would buy this blow dryer again! 5

A good blow dryer is essential to healthy hair!! If you use a cheap one you will be amazed at the difference between the two!! For years I thought a blow dryer was just a blow dryer until I purchased my first really good one!! I have given friends my older ones because I replace yearly and they are amazed at how much difference a great blow dryer changes your entire hair appearance! The shine and healthy outcome cannot be missed!

This is my second purchase for my daughter. We both love this blow dryer and drybar products. I'm glad to have invested in quality products. We get results we haven't from ordinary big store purchases.
DO BOT BUY THIS!! 1

I bought this hairdryer thinking it would be a godsend. It is anything but. After a year, the heater went out. I thought maybe it was just a fluke, but no. Went and bought another one, same thing! I contacted dry bar customer service department, but they did not get back to me. It's been a year. I will never buy this product again, and neither should you! Do not waste your money.

Best blow Dryer I have ever owned! 5

I use the Buttercup every morning. I towel dry my hair and using one of the Drybar brushes, I smooth it out into a great blow out that still looks good in the morning! It has cut the time it takes me to dry my hair by at least half.
I USED to have thick hair 1

I never write reviews but I need to get the warning out there. I used to have long thick hair until I wasted a lot a lot a lot of money on this piece of junk. First of the color....need I say more. I finally convinced myself i'ld get past that if the results were worth it. Yeah not so much. I do have to admit this does dry your hair very quickly but maybe that's only because so much of my hair has broken off and to the point where people have noticed that my hair is not so thick anymore. It dried frizzy and dull looking and piece after piece just falls to the ground. Most of my hair is now broken, damaged, frizzy and visably thinner after using this. I've switched back to my old dryer (which is about to die btw) and my hair is starting to look better and better. Thanks a lot buttercup I used to have confidence. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

I bought this from Ulta about a year ago. it never blew hot air and it goes from blowing strong to cutting out for no reason. This thing is awful and the $50 hair dryer I have is loads better. Save your money!

Worked great for five months then died! Will never purchase this brand again!
If you have fine hair, DO NOT BUY. 1

I was very excited to purchase this hair dryer based on reviews. Unfortunately it is not meant for fine hair. Since using this my hair started breaking. I was also using it for my daughter and her hair broke as well.

I bought this blow dryer Christmas 2017 and it's the only hair tool that has lasted. Flat irons, brushes, more scrunchies than you can imagine, all bit the dust, but my buttercup is still going strong. I'm not an everyday blow kind of girl, more like 1-3 per month, so that may be the secret, but in any case, this gives me the sleekest, fastest blow dry every single time. The only thing I would want is a longer cord, but that's much more to do with my house than the dryer
It's a very powerful hair dyer 5

I have thin curly hair, and I bought this because my hair takes ages to dry in the winter. This hair dryer with the diffuser attachment does a great job at drying out my hair in the cold setting without burning or damaging my hair!
I will always buy DryBar products 5

I love the DryBar products. My hair is long and thick. It can take up to 30 minutes to blow dry my hair. It takes about 15 minutes with this dryer and is still smooth and not frizzy. Highly recommend.
Only lasted 1 year. 2
Only lasted 1 year. from Ello Nevada
It stopped blowing HOT AIR. I took very good care of it and I don't know what could possibly be wrong.
I called Drybar about warranty and they said since I didn't buy it directly from Drybar, they could not fix it or send a new one under warranty. I will NEVER buy dry bar again.

THICK HAIR...Drybar to the rescue! 5
Meg from Birmingham, AL
I have had my drybar hair brush for almost 4 years and it is still amazing! I have extremely thick and frizzy hair and sometimes after blow drying my hair, I wont even have to straighten it. I love the way this works with my thick head of hair. It is definitely worth the price. I also do have the drybar straightener and a few of the hair products and they work just as well! Hats off to you - Drybar!
Good product 4

My experience has been you gotta pay more for a good dryer. The force of the blow is strong so I can use a flat brush or a wet brush to dry. Since I don't have the hand eye coordination to round brush blow dry my hair. I have mix coarse and fine hair. I normally go over my hair with a straightener following.
Died Exactly 2 Years Later 2
Julie from Michigan
Purchased this blow dryer in June 2018 because I was tired of spending $50-$75 ever year or so for a new blow dryer. I used it maybe twice a week for about a year. Then my son was born last year and I barely had time to shower, let alone blow dry my hair, so it's been used maybe 2 times a month for the past year. It started blowing only cold air almost exactly 2 years to the day I brought it home. So bummed because when it worked, it was the best blow dryer I've ever used. I won't be buying again.
Died within 3 months 1

I only used it maybe 10 times and it started making a very loud squealing noise.
Don't buy this dryer. Will stop working. JUNK! 1
Great Lakes MBA from Michigan
Ulta will not return this expensive product and says to call DryBar directly. So many people waste their money on this blow dryer. Ulta said too bad for you work with Dry Bar directly.
I wouldn't buy this one without registering for the warranty 1

I loved this hair dryer until it died after one year. The lo speed button stopped working and the heat at the high
level isn't as hot.
