Most Helpful Positive Review Not my favorite
I like the original Not Your Mother's dry shampoo. It's not my all time favorite, but it's my on a budget, big bottle - great price go-to. I have a stockpile of it. I had my doubts about a texturizing dry shampoo, but I bought two bottles anyway. Pros: smells like the beach (but not overwhelming), adds texture, works well as a dry shampoo and the white brushes out really well; Cons: day after hair is all stuck together and clumpy. This isn't an in between washes dry shampoo. It's an "I'm going to use this today and shower before bed (or in the morning - whenever your daily shower is) dry shampoo. I'll usually use dry shampoo on day 2 and 3 and then shower night 3..therefore washing my hair twice a week. Shower cap with hair in a bun for the rest of the week. Can't do this with this dry shampoo. I'm seriously thinking of returning both bottles. It's the really good smell that's giving me second thoughts. I'm picky about smells, too, because I like my perfume to be my smell, not my hair. This scent isn't overwhelming at all. It's just beachy and fresh. A+ on smell. A+ on dry shampoo for one day. A+ on texture. F on being able to have hair down for 2 days. Ponytail, bun, styled A MUST for anything after day 1 of using spray. I typically like to let my long hair be long.

I wanted to like this product as I like a lot of other products from this brand, but it simply did not work for me. It made me hair feel more greasy, not less. It also makes my hair tangle up horribly. I've even tried using it on clean, freshly styled hair just to add some oomph but it still made my hair flat, tangly, and dirty looking.

I love this product! I used to have to wash my hair every day, but this has saved my hair in that way! I haven't found another brand of dry shampoo as great as this one for my hair type

i would not recommend this product to anyone. it does absolutely nothing to my hair but make it crunchy and more greasy. i gave it 2 stars, only because it smells good. also, it has propane and alcohol in it which definitely doesn't sound good at all to put in your hair. bastiste will always be my go-to from now on.
Eh.... not impressed.

I am sort of a dry shampoo fanatic, and while I haven't tried them all, I've tried a lot of different brands. My hair is relatively thick, somewhat coarse, and gets fairly oily at the roots after a day or two, so I use dry shampoo quite often. I had to use so much of this product just to see any sort of effect/absorption, I probably only got about 5-6 uses out of the full size can. I know it's a budget product, but for how ineffective it is I'd rather pay a bit more for a different brand that I know works well for me and have it last longer and actually do what it's supposed to while using less. I have tried this brand's clean freak unscented dry shampoo, and I much preferred that one over this one, so maybe this "texturizing" one just isn't the best formula for my hair type. Also, I was not really a fan of the smell. It had a hint of coconut but also smelled very chemically to me.
Love it but worried

Is this safe for color treated hair?
I would buy this again!!

Form my first dry shampoo, it was pretty good. I love this brand. Really great volume and the smell is pretty good!

Bought it to full my shiny cheap wigs. Used it to refresh my real hair and it made my hair look and feel fuller. Love it
Can't handle this coconut fragrance
Gin from ID
Read some good reviews so thought I'd try - it's going back. I know it says 'coconut' but reviews said wasn't a 'bad or strong coconut' - wrong! I like my hair to smell clean and beachy is ok too but this is too overpowering.
Absolutely love it

I just got it for my wigs but I actually like using it on my hair.. it gives my hair some oomph
It's a No

I have been on a dry shampoo hunt for quite some time now. I was recommended this brand by numerous Facebook buddies recently, so I decided to give it a try. Sadly, it was just a no. It literally done NOTHING in my opinion *sigh*. On to another dry shampoo..

Love it, overall best dry shampoo I've tried

I love this dry shampoo. I have auburn, wavy/curly, fine hair (but a lot, so thick). I use this on my day 3 hair and just fluff it up. it leaves no residue and smells so good!
Smells WAY too strong!

This product might be great, but the smell is so overwhelming and nauseating. I can't stand it. Everyone will know exactly when you walk into a room, but they'll smell you before they see you.
It's a very artificially sweet smell (food/sugar sweet, not fruity sweet.) Will return.
LOVE this dry shampoo!

I have dry, coarse, wavy, beach hair. I cannot, do not, and will not wash it every day. I have tried various dry shampoos and this one is my favorite and go-to when I do not wash my hair. It smells great and feels fresh as soon as I spray it on my scalp. You can feel that fresh, clean feeling right away. I LOVE this stuff. A+++ buy!!

I love the sea salt spray for texture but this dry shampoo is a great alternative without making your hair crunchy. I personally love the coconut smell. For the price it's a great product.
Best Dry Shampoo ever!

Great for day 2 hair. Every dry shampoo I've used has left my hair even greasier than it was before but this didn't. And it smells fantastic.

I quick coloring my hair a couple of years ago and noticed the texture has become more flat. This spray helps give it the boost it needs. This is the second bottle. Recommended it to my daughter and she's loving it too.

This is the best of all the NYM dry shampoos. Smells great and works like high end.
Ashleigh from AR, USA
This is the worst dry shampoo I've used yet. It's so thick, chalky and heavy! It made my hair feel so dry, tangled and unclean, and I ended up having to buy special shampoo because it made my scalp so itchy and rashy! I'll attempt to finish what I have but will never buy this again.
Marissam from Wisconsin
This does work well but the scent is too strong in my opinion. I've noticed the scent is really strong if I also use other beach babe products, but is still fairly strong with any product combo. But it seems to be a good dupe for the Drybar triple sec product and is obviously way cheaper. For the price try it out!
The best dry shampoo
Gumbledore from St. Louis
I love this stuff. It's my favorite dry shampoo. I love that it adds texture and volume. I use it on clean hair for the volume. If you have darker hair it definitely can leave a residue if you're too close, but I flip over and shake it out and work it into the root. Or sometimes I use it at night to give it more time to absorb the oils.
I will buy this product again
CLee from Tennessee
I use this product to plump up my hair every morning after I wash and blow dry. I spray a title on the top back of my hair and rub it in, gives my hair a lift and I don't need to use a texturizing powder.
This is my personal instructions that could work for you too
Laney from Boston
I've tried every dry shampoo you can think of I'm sure. This brand is my fav so far. I literally always have a can because I live by it. My hair is so oily that I'm always touching up throughout the week to avoiding washing. I try to wash 2x -3x a week to regulate my oily hair.
Stop trying to use this to revive an oily head. That's not what dry shampoo is for....that's what shampoo is for.
After a fresh wash then drying/styling hair- immediately apply dry shampoo to prevent hair from getting oily too quickly. (It works for me at least and since it's clean hair, I apply the absolute least amount.)
Section off hair and apply at roots, around ears, around neck.
Use very little and —rub in immediately—.
(If you spray until you don't see shine/oil, you've wasted too much.)
Touch up throughout day if needed.
Touch up again before going to bed. (This is crucial for me, personally!)
Repeat the next day with a touch up in the morning.
Hopefully this routine works for you!
Love, love, love.

On a whim I switched to the texture dry shampoo from the volumizing one. I fell in love after just one use. 10/10 for me.
