Most Helpful Positive Review Best Powder Foundation I love this powder foundation! I wanted to scale down my makeup routine in the mornings so I was looking for a quick and easy powder foundation. Prior to this I was using Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation for oily/combo skin (which I loved) in the color buff. I'm very pale, but can't do ivory foundations that lean on the pink side.
First I tried Bare Minerals - the lightest shade was too dark and I noticed tiny little bumps all round my mouth and chin area after using. The packaging was really messy and inconvenient and I spent a fortune on trying it with different brushes. Then I tried It Cosmetics Celebration Illumination which looked nice at first, but was more cakey looking after a few hours of wear when you try to build up the coverage - and the tiny bumps came back again. Both of these were very pricey and not worth the money to me.
Then I found the JCat Aquasurance from watching Tati on Youtube and her video was not lying. I'm in love with it. The shade Ivory fits perfectly for me - not too pink or yellow. It applies perfectly with the dry sponge that comes with the package. I tried using a brush because that's the best way to use the *other* powder foundations, but it goes on best with the dry sponge it comes with. Finally the convenience I was looking for. Its so quick and easy I apply it in the parking lot before I go into work. You can build up coverage with the dry sponge as well. No breakouts and my skin feels so baby soft! I use a good moisturizer over night so there are no dry patches on my skin so I can't say if it sticks to dry patches or not. Its semi-full coverage so I'd say it MOSTLY covers blemishes, but not 100%. I do have to re-apply around my mouth area after a meal, but its so quick and easy I don't mind it. I haven't tried it with a setting spray, maybe that'll help it last longer and give it more coverage. I don't use primers. Others must agree with me because I'm trying to re-order and its sold-out!
Most Helpful Critical Review Worth the try, but no hidden gem I usually steer clear of powder foundations, do to having normal skin with a dryer t-zone, but have been on a hunt for a great drug store price foundation. I do consider myself to be a little bit of a prestige liquid foundation snob, so my judgments could be a little harsh. Since I've had more time at home lately, I did a little research and when I saw this one on sale I sprung to try it. I also saw it recommended by multiple youtubers to buy the catrice setting spray as a companion product. Overall, I can't complain because the coverage is fantastic, (I'm prone to acne on my chin but otherwise my skin is clear. I have a lot of freckles to cover and prefer having a base with fuller coverage for a more 'flawless' complexion) but the powder made my other products difficult to blend for a full face. (I will say the catrice fixing spray did do wonders for the texture of this particular product, but would not recommend it otherwise.) I did also notice a little bit of creasing around my eyes with this product, but that could be due to me not using a primer that day.
My main complaint with this product is the color selection. Since it was on sale, I went ahead and bought it in both porcelain and ivory due to being unsure of which color would be my match. Porcelain is incredibly too pale for me and tends to make me look like I've been battling the stomach flu for the greater part of a week, while the ivory is just about a shade or two too dark and gives me an unfortunate foundation line. (Would work great if I had a light tan. For reference I'm fair skinned with neutral undertones)
Pros of product:
- price!!
- coverage
- hydrating for powder
Cons:
- color choices
-lack of blend-ability
- needs companion product to not look cakey
- does tend to crease without primer
- not an all day foundation (as it tends to crack in creases after about 5 hours, once again that was with the catrice setting spray only, without a primer)
I don't think this is a product I would repurchase unless on sale and I'm looking for a way to save on my more expensive foundations, but I am glad to have tried it out. Overall, I don't think it or powder foundations in general are for me but its definitely not a throwaway product. I'll continue to use what I have when I'm in a pinch or just to go out and run daily errands when I don't feel like using my more expensive foundations. However if you're looking for an affordable, full coverage powder foundation, I do recommend the try.

This is one of the best powder foundation I have found. It's full coverage, felible, buildable and feels great on the skin.
I love the KVD powder foundation and this is a perfect dupe to it. Despite the limited color range it's amazing. A must try

It's fine. It's nice and I don't have a problem using it up. It just kind of leaves me wanting something more from it. I'd buy it again if I needed a powder foundation and wasn't really decided on what to get, but it's not hg status for me. I will say that this is a good product for dry skin. It's a good standby to have in your makeup bag or carry for touch ups. I'm using it as a light coverage on my forehead because I wear my mask all day. It does nice for that and has a natural skin like finish.
Love this stuff !!! 5

I use this every single day that I work. It leaves my face looking so blurred and soft. Easy to apply I love it 🥰
By far my favorite! 5

I've been through 3-4 of these now and it's by far my favorite powder foundation. You can apply it lightly with a fluffy brush or really build it up with a dense brush. Most days I use it over a tinted moisturizer but sometimes I wear it alone if I'm in a hurry or just being lazy. I stock up every time it's on sale!
Love the coverage 4

Better coverage (for me) than MAC Studio Fix Powder. Lasts about 8-10 hours. Wish the color range was better though. Feels very light on my skin. Very pleased.
Very impressive 5
Great Foundation from Pittsburgh
I never leave reviews, but I am so impressed with this foundation! Today was my first time using it. I started by blotting my face to get rid of excess oil, then used Smashbox Primerizer. I have dry skin, do I usually go for liquid foundations to avoid caking and flakiness. This caught my eye and I am obsessed! It goes on so smooth, erases my pores, and mattifies! I am so excited about this product. My new go to!!

My favorite YouTuber recommended this ages ago, but since ulta doesn't carry it in store, I never purchased it! When it went on sale I had to get it! I didn't realize the expanded the shade range since she reviewed it and I got the lightest shade based on that. It's perfect for brightening under the eyes and cutting contour. I purchased the 2nd lightest shade and its a perfect match. It can be worn alone and covers everything. I also use it on top of my colourpop tinted moisturizer when I want to go full glam and it layers like a dream! I highly recommend trying it!
Great Full Coverage 5

I have used powder foundations exclusively for 4 decades. I bought this on a whim on Black Friday and I'm so glad I did. if you're looking for full coverage, this is a great powder. The shade I purchased was true to shade, and it doesn't feel heavy or "powdery" at all and doesn't settle into facial lines. It also looks flawless in natural light. And stays on all day! A great value for the price.

My face looked so soft focused like a real life filter. This has great coverage but looks like skin. I use this with their concealer and it's the perfect pairing!

I'm always looking for affordable foundations. My latest was Wet n Wild photo focus but I needed something to quickly apply. And this is it. It offers great coverage, easy application and looks beautiful. I would recommend

Awesome product for the price point I use this to lightly set my under and a for extra coverage where I need it. I'd definitely be buying this again
Wonderful for dry skin! 5

I am normally a shade MAC NC25-30 I got the shade Buff and it's a little light but workable if you have bronzer. I also own the shade Natural and that was a smidge dark (but perfect for summer). What I love about this is that you can have a full coverage face in like 3 minutes tops. I set it with the catrice dewy prep and prime and it photography beautifully! I have super dry skin and have never been able to find something like this before, it doesn't settle in my lines or anything and doesn't look cakey!
Love this 5

I have dry to normal skin with mild to noticeable but not quite tomato rosacea. I am normally fair to light during winter skin and light to light/medium during warmer seasons. The buff looked way darker in the pan but worked great on my light to medium skin (moreso on light side skin tone). Definitely set it with a spray. I use a big fluffy brush which seems to work for me to add some coverage on days I apply liquid foundation. This is good on its own for light coverage. I will be repurchasing.

I ordered 2 of these 1 in ivory and 1 in natural. well along with it i ordered a facial spray it had leaked all over everything. so I called to explain what happened and they said they would send a new one but only 1 not 2 because it is only showing them that I ordered 1.. she couldn't even tell me what color they were sending so now I have to wait until it gets here to order the other one. love this powder but not the customer service. only giving 5 stars bc I love this foundation so much.

Honestly if you have acne and scaring it won't cover much. I have acne and I scar easily and it didn't cover much just kinda even out my skin but still could see my scars
Great for dry skin! 5

I have dry skin so I've always avoided powders. They've always made me look cakey and dried out my under eye area. But I really needed something to set my face and help my makeup stay looking fresher longer. This is an absolute game changer. I use it to set and add coverage to my t-zone and it makes my pores disappear without causing any dryness. I use it everyday and just hit pan after 5 months so it's a great price!
I Tried To Love It 1
Lollypop from Buckeye, AZ
I saw such great reviews, I thought for sure I would love this. It was always out of stock so I jumped at it when it was available. Unfortunately it did nothing for me. I tried multiple ways of applying it, as well as with primer and without, so I don't think it was user error. It literally looked like I had put my setting powder all over my face, which is fine, but not when I wanted it to perform like foundation. It was a decent shade match for me which is almost impossible, and it didn't irritate my sensitive skin. But as far as foundation goes, this was a big no for me.
Great for Acne Prone skin 5
Liza from Puerto Rico
I switched to this powder from liquid foundation because all of the ones I've tried make my acne worse, just by different degrees. It looks great on for everyday (not cakey, flat or dry) gives amazing medium to high coverage dry (packaging says it's full coverage wet, but I havent felt the need), and it wears well. It doesnt break down, it just looks glowy as the day goes on. For oil control I pat on some of the Too Faced Peach Perfect loose powder on my T zone, and then I lay this powder foundation on top.
I use two colors, one for all over, and a lighter one to brighten on top of the main color under my eyes. More often than not though, I use the It cosmetics bye bye under eye under my eyes, set it, and then use Aquasurance on the rest of my face. Highly reccomend. It's amazingto be able to look more polished withouth damaging my skin further.
Very nice! 5

I've now purchased my second one of these! This powder is full coverage but not cakey. Great for my dry skin because it doesn't emphasize dry patches. Only downside it that it doesn't work well to set the under eye area and can crease around the nose.

I love how this powder foundation applies and holds to the facial skin. It doesn't cake and is a very smooth finish that lasts and doesn't leave you oily looking in the slightest (but also not too matte to where you look chalky)
Will buy again and again 4

I love this foundation for summer. I've never found a powder foundation that has as much coverage as this one. The sponge this comes with is the best way to apply for a more medium-full coverage look (swiping motion, not patting), whereas a beauty blender-type sponge gives a more natural look. Love this for summer! Definitely has a glowy look, which I like. If you have oily skin, this will look oily on you.
Nice but cheaper options available 4

This has a pretty finish but honestly LA girl pressed powder does the same thing for only $6
Great powder foundation 5
NoblePath from Tennessee
This powder foundation has a poor shade range, but I'm about an NC15 and I wore the shade ivory. I'm a fair-light skintone with a neutral leaning warm peach undertone. I wanted to try a new powder foundation since I haven't tried one in awhile for the summer. It is a very finely milled powder and has a silky texture. It was great at absorbing oil and applied wonderfully with the real techniques miracle powder sponge. I didn't try the sponge it came with. It had medium coverage and I have combo oily skin.
I finally found a powder that doesn't dry out my skin! 5

I have extremely dry skin and every single powder foundation I've used has made my face to dry and chalky looking. This foundation for the price is amazing. My skin actually feels hydrated and it looks airbrushed! I also have very clear and even skin, not sure how well it would do with other skin types but I'm extremely impressed with this product.
