Most Helpful Positive Review Best hairdryer ever!!! So cliche to say but I have never written a review in my life. I always read reviews and I appreciate the people who take the time to do it, but I've never felt compelled to write one myself. I've had a Chi Touch for the past four years and the screen finally stopped working. The hair dryer works, but you cannot change the heat or speed now. It's stuck on one setting. I've had a GHD flat iron for years and I like it so I decided to go with their hairdryer after reading reviews. I have natural curls and I usually blow them out straight. This dryer is light weight and easy to maneuver around my head. My hair is sleek and is not frizzy!! I really don't have to use my flat iron if I want the volume. If I wanted it stick straight I could use my flat iron. It looks like a professional blow out!! Highly recommend this dryer. It is pricey but it's so worth it. I think I would forgo some everyday perks like Starbucks and eating out to save money to buy this if money is an issue for you. It's your hair, which to me is is your crowning feature, so I would splurge on this item.
Most Helpful Critical Review would never buy again I bought this hair dryer in September of 2016. It is the first day of February of 2017 and it has stopped working! With the amount of money I paid I was expecting a better quality item. I only use the hair dryer twice a week. Ulta would not allow me to return it because I did not have the original box and receipt. Does anyone really keep an empty box lying around for months?? Waiting on a response from GHD manufacturer. I would NEVER buy a GHD product again. Very disappointed.

I bought and it was okay till it stopped blowing hot air. Cost to much to break down in a little over a year.
Works great... for 6 months 2

Beware! I purchased this hair dryer ~6 months ago after reading rave reviews and it has already stopped working. If you're looking for a short-term dryer, this was great.... until it wasn't.
Love how shiny and soft makes my hair 5

Tried my daughters and had to buy one for myself. Love my hair after blowout.
Just ok 3

Product is very good but not worth the premium in my opinion. I've had similar results with blow dryers 1/3 of the price
Great blow dryer, but.. 4

Like it, it's performance and feel but the nozzle swivels a lot when I'm blow drying. It doesn't stay in one position I have to constantly adjust it. Honestly other than that it's a great dryer. I'll use it as a spare.
Amazing 5

I've had this dryer 3 years now. Recently I was struggling with blowouts taking much too long. I cleaned the lint filter really well with my home vacuum, and when I turned the dryer on it almost BLEW ME AWAY. I had forgotten how powerful it was in the beginning! I was able to blow out my long, naturally curly (2c) hair in 10 minutes, while using mainly the slower speed setting, and on a humid day too. Plus, it had plenty of heat to make my Oribe styling products work exactly as they should—lasting hold, volume, tons of shine. If I could make a suggestion to the manufacturer, I'd recommend making the lint filter removable (my last CHI did this) for easier cleaning. I'd noticed the lint building up for quite a while, but I didn't pay it much attention because the filter just didn't seem that badly coated. Whether you have this dryer or another one, take my advice and learn from all my wasted time. Clean your lint filter, preferably with your vacuum nozzle!
In other news, I don't have a problem with the dryer nozzle spinning too much...although it shifts a little, mine fits very tightly. I use the wider concentrator. Looks like I won't have to buy a new dryer anytime soon, but if I do, I'd gladly repurchase this one!
Amazing! 10/10 would recommend. 5

Dries my hair in half the time of my Wigo dryer. It gets really hot so it's very efficient. The narrow tip is great for an "at-home" blowout.

I got this dryer to replace my Bio Ionic dryer that is 10 years old and is still going strong. I just wanted something different and newer. This GHD dryer didn't dry my hair fast or faster than my Bio Ionic dryer. The hottest heat setting wasn't really that hot. The dryer is heavy and the cord is shorter. I do like that it's matte black instead of the common white color of hair dryers. I wish I could return it for a different brand!
Game changer!!! 5

I love this dryer!!! I was using another name brand that cost double and my hair felt like straw after drying and straightening. After drying my hair with this dryer, my hair is so silky and soft!! I have coarse, thick, wavy hair and it feels so much better. So glad I splurged on this dryer!!
Love the Results! 5

For a long time I used (still have hasn't died) a Conair for good five years but it took forever to dry my hair and when I used it to straighten my hair it would not be sleek and it made my hair all dull looking. So I decided to jump the gun on the GHD and I love it! It drys my thick, wavy hair quickly and if I want to do the whole styling, it'll take about twenty minutes (with a good brush). I works great with my mom's medium, wavy hair and my sister's thinner, wavy hair. It leaves all of ours shiny and sleek. I personally don't feel the blow dryer that heavy. Had it for seven months and it gets used twice a week and still going strong. For my wavy haired family it's a win.
Salon Blow-out at Home!!! 5

Buying a blow dryer was a purchase I spent so much time researching and in turmoil over. I have used many different salon favorites. When my puppy chewed through the cord of my chi rocket pro, low emf.. and I had to buy a new one (again) I dreaded the purchase. Away I went for more hours of comparison. This dryer kept coming up in articles of top dryers to buy, after a trusted advisor at Ulta suggesting I give it a try, as it was not my first pick. I could not be HAPPIER. By far the BEST DRYER I HAVE EVER USED.
Happy with Purchase 5

Very happy with purchase. I have thick hair and feel like the hairdryer gets hot enough to dry my hair and that it takes less time. Hoping to buy some more ghd products in the near future.
Had this for several years now 5

I got this hair dryer from ulta several years ago and it still works great. It dries hair quickly and doesn't scorch or damage your hair. While the temperature doesn't get very hot, it still dries hair smoothly and doesn't make your hair look fried. Whenever my sisters are over they wants to use this hair dryer because they love how nice it makes their hair.
Not worth the money 1

I read through all the comments and reviews before buying this. I was skeptical because the reviews are so mixed... I was right to be skeptical! The only positive thing I can say about this dryer was that I got it on Ulta's 1 day only half off sale. I still think I paid too much! This hair dryer does not heat up enough in the slightest. I kind of snarked at the reviews of it being too heavy for people, but they were right. After about 10 seconds of drying my arms start to get tired (and I was a swimmer for 14 years.....) my hair is full of frizz when I get done using it. I have stick straight thick hair and never really had frizz issues before. I swear my Fahrenheit $60 dryer was 100× better.
Happy with my purchase 4

I have noticed a difference in my hair since using this blow dryer. I have less frizz and my hair is softer. The blow dryer is heavy which is the only thing I don't like about it. My arms get tired quickly. I also wish it came with the diffuser. For the price I think it should.
Good dryer 4
Elle999 from CO
The other reviews are right, it's crazy heavy—especially compared to the babyliss pro one I returned for this one. I felt the babyliss blew my fine, thin hair around and tangled it too much, where this one does a much better, controlled job. The spinning nozzle is annoying, I agree. My hair does seem to dry smoother and better though. GHD is the brand they use in my salon so I figured it's worth it. Dries my shorter hair in about 5 minutes.
Too many flaws 3
LK from Manchester, NH
I really wanted to like this dryer, especially because I got it for half-price, but unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. It was very heavy. Like uncomfortable to hold for the time it took to blow dry my hair heavy. My other big complaint is the nozzle does not stay in place. It is loose and spins so you're constantly having to readjust it. Also the placement of the buttons is bad because it's right where you hold the dryer and so my pinky was constantly shutting it off. Overall bad design flaws.
Reviews Are very confusing aren't they? 5

I bought this blow dry because a cheaper Hot Tools Dryer just wasn't doing the job for the girls in the house. It kept alternating between hot and warm air which was taking too long to dry hair. Previously, I had purchased T3 products for them, but those dryers died after about 5-6 years each. After reading too many reviews on too many websites, this dryer seemed to be consistently reviewed well. My neighbor, who is a stylist at a bougie salon, said the brand was good. After a week, my wife and daughter say it has been excellent and their hair feels sleek and healthy instead of bone dry after styling. The build quality is also better than all the other dryers they have used. I think it is safe to say the reviews are accurate here, and its a very good product. There is plenty of air, plenty of heat with multiple levels of each and the layout on the handle is just right. If you're willing to spend more than 100 on a blow dryer but don't want to fork over 400+ for a Dyson, I think this is one of the best options.

And this is the blow dryer I swear by to give my clients a polished and beautiful blowout every time. I have one at work and at home and will be a GHD lover forever!
Love, love, love it!!!! 5

This is the best hair dryer I've ever owned. Cuts drying time without my hair feeling like it's too hot. I'm so glad I bought it. It's well worth the money!
Overpriced! Mediocre 3
Krob from Texas
I have healthy, shiny fine medium/long hair that I straighten. My old blow dryer went out, one that I had for many years, and I was forced to look for a new one. I found this one at ulta and searched reviews. I figured for $200 it should work well. The reviews look great so I decided to try it, even though no one at ulta even knew anything about it. After using it four times, my hair is more staticky and stringy looking. Just seems flat and staticky. For $200, I was hoping for more. I'll be returning this. It's really not worth the price!! It's not too loud and doesn't get too hot. I do like the heat settings, but it just leaves my hair looking blah. Probably best to stick with a well known brand that specifies what makes the dryer ionic. Not sure what's used in this one but it doesn't feel ionic at all, and I noticed it takes quite a while longer to dry my hair.
Awesome! 5

About a year and half ago I bought an Elchim 3900 which I loved. A few days ago the plug totally fell apart with all of the parts falling off. After doing a search on Ulta, I decided to try this GHD. I made an instore purchase the SA highly recommended this dryer. So happy that I decided on this one. It is not heavy at all as some other people have mentioned. I have dry, thick, coarse hair and this has made my hair very smooth. Just a little side note. I had an old Conair that I had gotten many years ago at Sally's. Was using it in the interim until I bought this new GHD. Couldn't figure out why my hair was looking pretty awful. Obviously, it's important get to use good styling tools. Highly recommend this hair dryer. It is pricey but your hair is worth it.
Highly Recommend 5

This is my 3rd ghd product (I have the platinum flat iron and the classic curl iron). This blow dryer completes all my hair needs. It makes minimal noise, is lightweight but super powerful and easy to hold. Even has little rubber stands on the side for when you set it down between sections. Highly recommend!
No more friz! 5

I haven't dried my hair with a blower in years. I cannot use hair products because of allergies. So no option to dry hair, style and go until now. Hair is so manageable! Love it!
It's soo light 4

I love everything about this hairdryer. Except it doesn't come with a curly hair diffuser. I've tried so many and they just don't fit right.
