Most Helpful Positive Review Best hairdryer ever!!!
So cliche to say but I have never written a review in my life. I always read reviews and I appreciate the people who take the time to do it, but I've never felt compelled to write one myself. I've had a Chi Touch for the past four years and the screen finally stopped working. The hair dryer works, but you cannot change the heat or speed now. It's stuck on one setting. I've had a GHD flat iron for years and I like it so I decided to go with their hairdryer after reading reviews. I have natural curls and I usually blow them out straight. This dryer is light weight and easy to maneuver around my head. My hair is sleek and is not frizzy!! I really don't have to use my flat iron if I want the volume. If I wanted it stick straight I could use my flat iron. It looks like a professional blow out!! Highly recommend this dryer. It is pricey but it's so worth it. I think I would forgo some everyday perks like Starbucks and eating out to save money to buy this if money is an issue for you. It's your hair, which to me is is your crowning feature, so I would splurge on this item.
Most Helpful Critical Review would never buy again
I bought this hair dryer in September of 2016. It is the first day of February of 2017 and it has stopped working! With the amount of money I paid I was expecting a better quality item. I only use the hair dryer twice a week. Ulta would not allow me to return it because I did not have the original box and receipt. Does anyone really keep an empty box lying around for months?? Waiting on a response from GHD manufacturer. I would NEVER buy a GHD product again. Very disappointed.

Dries my hair in half the time of my Wigo dryer. It gets really hot so it's very efficient. The narrow tip is great for an "at-home" blowout.

I got this dryer to replace my Bio Ionic dryer that is 10 years old and is still going strong. I just wanted something different and newer. This GHD dryer didn't dry my hair fast or faster than my Bio Ionic dryer. The hottest heat setting wasn't really that hot. The dryer is heavy and the cord is shorter. I do like that it's matte black instead of the common white color of hair dryers. I wish I could return it for a different brand!

I love this dryer!!! I was using another name brand that cost double and my hair felt like straw after drying and straightening. After drying my hair with this dryer, my hair is so silky and soft!! I have coarse, thick, wavy hair and it feels so much better. So glad I splurged on this dryer!!
Love the Results!

For a long time I used (still have hasn't died) a Conair for good five years but it took forever to dry my hair and when I used it to straighten my hair it would not be sleek and it made my hair all dull looking. So I decided to jump the gun on the GHD and I love it! It drys my thick, wavy hair quickly and if I want to do the whole styling, it'll take about twenty minutes (with a good brush). I works great with my mom's medium, wavy hair and my sister's thinner, wavy hair. It leaves all of ours shiny and sleek. I personally don't feel the blow dryer that heavy. Had it for seven months and it gets used twice a week and still going strong. For my wavy haired family it's a win.
Salon Blow-out at Home!!!

Buying a blow dryer was a purchase I spent so much time researching and in turmoil over. I have used many different salon favorites. When my puppy chewed through the cord of my chi rocket pro, low emf.. and I had to buy a new one (again) I dreaded the purchase. Away I went for more hours of comparison. This dryer kept coming up in articles of top dryers to buy, after a trusted advisor at Ulta suggesting I give it a try, as it was not my first pick. I could not be HAPPIER. By far the BEST DRYER I HAVE EVER USED.
Had this for several years now

I got this hair dryer from ulta several years ago and it still works great. It dries hair quickly and doesn't scorch or damage your hair. While the temperature doesn't get very hot, it still dries hair smoothly and doesn't make your hair look fried. Whenever my sisters are over they wants to use this hair dryer because they love how nice it makes their hair.
Not worth the money

I read through all the comments and reviews before buying this. I was skeptical because the reviews are so mixed... I was right to be skeptical! The only positive thing I can say about this dryer was that I got it on Ulta's 1 day only half off sale. I still think I paid too much! This hair dryer does not heat up enough in the slightest. I kind of snarked at the reviews of it being too heavy for people, but they were right. After about 10 seconds of drying my arms start to get tired (and I was a swimmer for 14 years.....) my hair is full of frizz when I get done using it. I have stick straight thick hair and never really had frizz issues before. I swear my Fahrenheit $60 dryer was 100× better.

The other reviews are right, it's crazy heavy—especially compared to the babyliss pro one I returned for this one. I felt the babyliss blew my fine, thin hair around and tangled it too much, where this one does a much better, controlled job. The spinning nozzle is annoying, I agree. My hair does seem to dry smoother and better though. GHD is the brand they use in my salon so I figured it's worth it. Dries my shorter hair in about 5 minutes.
Too many flaws
LK from Manchester, NH
I really wanted to like this dryer, especially because I got it for half-price, but unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. It was very heavy. Like uncomfortable to hold for the time it took to blow dry my hair heavy. My other big complaint is the nozzle does not stay in place. It is loose and spins so you're constantly having to readjust it. Also the placement of the buttons is bad because it's right where you hold the dryer and so my pinky was constantly shutting it off. Overall bad design flaws.
Reviews Are very confusing aren't they?

I bought this blow dry because a cheaper Hot Tools Dryer just wasn't doing the job for the girls in the house. It kept alternating between hot and warm air which was taking too long to dry hair. Previously, I had purchased T3 products for them, but those dryers died after about 5-6 years each. After reading too many reviews on too many websites, this dryer seemed to be consistently reviewed well. My neighbor, who is a stylist at a bougie salon, said the brand was good. After a week, my wife and daughter say it has been excellent and their hair feels sleek and healthy instead of bone dry after styling. The build quality is also better than all the other dryers they have used. I think it is safe to say the reviews are accurate here, and its a very good product. There is plenty of air, plenty of heat with multiple levels of each and the layout on the handle is just right. If you're willing to spend more than 100 on a blow dryer but don't want to fork over 400+ for a Dyson, I think this is one of the best options.

And this is the blow dryer I swear by to give my clients a polished and beautiful blowout every time. I have one at work and at home and will be a GHD lover forever!

I have healthy, shiny fine medium/long hair that I straighten. My old blow dryer went out, one that I had for many years, and I was forced to look for a new one. I found this one at ulta and searched reviews. I figured for $200 it should work well. The reviews look great so I decided to try it, even though no one at ulta even knew anything about it. After using it four times, my hair is more staticky and stringy looking. Just seems flat and staticky. For $200, I was hoping for more. I'll be returning this. It's really not worth the price!! It's not too loud and doesn't get too hot. I do like the heat settings, but it just leaves my hair looking blah. Probably best to stick with a well known brand that specifies what makes the dryer ionic. Not sure what's used in this one but it doesn't feel ionic at all, and I noticed it takes quite a while longer to dry my hair.

About a year and half ago I bought an Elchim 3900 which I loved. A few days ago the plug totally fell apart with all of the parts falling off. After doing a search on Ulta, I decided to try this GHD. I made an instore purchase the SA highly recommended this dryer. So happy that I decided on this one. It is not heavy at all as some other people have mentioned. I have dry, thick, coarse hair and this has made my hair very smooth. Just a little side note. I had an old Conair that I had gotten many years ago at Sally's. Was using it in the interim until I bought this new GHD. Couldn't figure out why my hair was looking pretty awful. Obviously, it's important get to use good styling tools. Highly recommend this hair dryer. It is pricey but your hair is worth it.
Way Too Heavy!
Gigi from OCMD
I have had the GHD dryer for a few months now, and wishing I could return it. I read a million reviews, and ultimately decided to go with this one because I needed moisture in my hair. It doesn't really dry my hair out, and it makes it frizzy. Not to mention, I now have shoulder and elbow pain due to the weight of this dryer. Going back to Ulta to try, again, to find a good dryer that is lightweight.

Love the high quality features. Fast drying, frizz free, excellent blowout. The attachments lock in, which I hated about my Chi. Heat doesn't feel like my hair is melting off(like my chi). Light weight. I've had my GHD Straightener FOR 10 YEARS! Hoping this dryer will live just as long.

Bought the Elchim 3900 healthy hair dryer and then got this hairdryer very different results. Smooth and fast blow out with the elchim and with the GHD air it made my hair super puffy/frizzy and wouldn't straighten out my hair like the Elchim did effortlessly. Maybe if you don't have thick hair it would for you. I had to return it as it was too much money for mediocre results. Only positive it dries your hair really quick.

I decided to splurge on this dryer after my old one burned a huge hunk of hair off the back of my head. I am so glad I did! Drying time really is half that with old hair dryer models. I have less frizz, it's quieter, and somewhat compact.

I bought this to replace my BaByliss Pro, which to be honest I was never impressed by. So many people swear by it, but it always seemed to make my hair feel overly dryed out and frizzy. I ended up sending it back to the company after it died before its warranty was up. I researched so much online to try to find the best dryer and almost bought the Paul Mitchell Neuro Light, but decided against it after seeing some mixed reviews. I got this one and I couldn't be happier. First of all, this dryer is stunning. I actually have the Saharan Gold edition, but I honestly think any of the colors would be equally gorgeous. Second, the air flow is perfect. Not too weak like some dryers I've used, and not overly strong. It doesn't blow your hair everywhere and tangle it, or make it frizzy. Third, my hair has never looked so good after blow drying. I always flat iron after I dry my hair, but my hair honestly looks like it's already had the flat iron run through it after I dry it. I catch myself touching my hair throughout the day because it's so much softer than I'm used to. This is so worth the purchase.
not what I expected

I have researched forever and really wanted a great professional dryer. This was the one I finally selected and needless to say, I am so unhappy. I haven't taken it back yet because I just don't know what else to buy but feel like it will probably go back. I hoped to get used to it but have really not liked it from day 1. It's heavier than my old cheapo and takes way longer to dry my hair. I have thick curly hair that I dry straight. I had hoped to find a great dryer that would help smooth it and reduce the need to use the straightening iron. This wasn't the one. It takes longer to dry my hair, the dryer is heavier than I anticipated, and I can't tell any difference in the way it looks than using my old revlon. The pros are that it does seem to be less noisy.
Thick hair miracle
Shelby from Virginia
This dryer is great if regular dryers take forever to dry your thick hair and they leave it huge and poofy in the dreaded "triangle" shape. Avoid Ionic dryers if you have thin hair and want more volume. Ionic dryers are the way to go to dry your thick hair fast and leave it shiny and frizz free and most importantly discourage some of that ridiculous volume so you don't get a nightmare poofy triangle of hair. This dryer cut my styling time in half and gets me as close to that shiny flat silky hair i get at the salon as possible at home. You can see right away when you use it that the water is literally getting oblierated off your hair, albeit in a gentle way. Another thing I love about this dryer is that it comes with an adapter that makes it fit my favorite diffuser, which means I can finally style my hair in it's natural texture but still get that frizz free result from using a good ionic dryer! It is a diffuser I heard about on youtube called the XTava Black Orchid diffuser, a diffuser wavy and curly haired girls swear by. It's basically a HUGE diffuser that can scoop up more hair at once for fast drying, but it's hard to find dryers to fit it that aren't also cheap frizz producing factories. I was all ready to return that diffuser because if it can't fit a decent dryer it was useless to me, but it fitting this dryer was a welcome bonus!! The possibilities are endless now!
Game changer!! 💜

I never thought that I would end up buying an expensive hair dryer! I decided to give GHD a shot, cause I didn't like my old one anymore especially the results I get from it.
And This one is a game changer! Honestly, I'm so impressed!
I compared it to all the other dryers and nope, this one was first love. I mean you have to go to The store and touch it, then you will understand what I mean. It looks so well made and expensive, absolutely not cheap. And It's LIGHTWEIGHT!
So now the results: it dries hair quickly and the most important part, it's doesn't dry out the hair! Hair is smooth and silky!! Huge difference to my old one ( John Frieda)
Oh and did I mention it's so quiet. I really love it! Hope it will last me a couple of years!
Do not hesitate please, go and grap one. I got mine with the 20% off coupon so it was not too expensive in the end. Highly recommended!

My hair stylist recommended this to me, after a decade of me trying this and that. The power is unrivaled and my hair feels less brittle. I'm loving this investment.

Love this product! I have used many hair dryers but this is the best!

Got so many compliments on my hair every time after using it. It was a little awkward and heavy to use at first but once I got the hang of working the bottons it got much easier. I have thick curly hair and it only takes me about 25 min to blow dry straight.
