Just OK

Pros

  • Effective Sun Protection
  • Feels light once absorbed
  • Minimal flashback
  • Not greasy or shiny

Cons

  • Hard to spread alone
  • Not moisturizing, slightly drying

Best Uses

  • After Shower/Bath
  • Daily Use
  • Oily or Combo skin

Comments about CeraVe Skin Renew Day Cream SPF30:

My least favorite product from this line. I love all the others (cream serum, night cream, and gel oil).
Not moisturizing at all. Hard to apply alone. Easier mixed with the gel oil. Not the best under makeup.

Upsides: SPF, non-irritating (just a little drying but nothing major), non-pore clogging, no smell once absorbed, very little flashback in photos, very lightweight, no avobenzone

Downsides: not an effective moisturizer, tricky to apply, somewhat drying

This is probably better suited for someone with more oily or combo skin. I am normal to dry so it is not ideal for me. I will continue to use this until I run out or find a better everyday SPF. Will not be repurchasing, though.

Don't hate it... just don't love it either. It's just not for my skintype.

Comments about CeraVe Skin Renew Day Cream SPF30:

I use Cerave Foaming Face wash and PM. lotion. I was looking for a new daytime lotion but unfortunately this is not it. I had to switch out my first bottle because the pump wouldn't work. It sounded like it would have everything I wanted in a daytime moisturizer but it is very thick, doesn't rub in well, and we left white streaks on my face. In addition, it caked in my eyebrows and looked gross.

    Good but flawed.

Comments about CeraVe Skin Renew Day Cream SPF30:

I really like this sunscreen. I have dry skin, and it feels lightweight and hydrating with no white cast. Unfortunately, the pump broke within the first few uses so I've had to scoop out the product with a spatula. And since then, the top has broken off even more. Expected better quality for the price. Won't repurchase unless packaging is fixed, it's too much of a hassle.

More moisturizing than the regular Cerave daytime lotion, no parebens and still has spf 30. My Dermatologist recommended Cerave products.

Comments about CeraVe Skin Renew Day Cream SPF30:

I bought this to replace my Aveeno Positively Ageless when they re-vamped that line to have a blackberry scent and purple packaging. I prefer unscented products, and that one now stinks, what a shame. I'm not too sad though, because this one is better! It's very moisturizing and a little thick, so it is best for the winter time for me. I'll switch back to CeraVe's regular daytime moisturizer for humid southern summers. Most of the time, I swirl one pump of this with one pump of my foundation in my fingers, then apply to my face. It's faster that way! I have not had any issues with the smell changing after application. The way it smells out of the bottle (very neutral) is the way it smells all day. I'm 34 with combination skin.

Comments about CeraVe Skin Renew Day Cream SPF30:

I was so excited to try this out. SPF, moisturizer, and retinol? Yes please! It works fine... but the smell....
In the bottle, it doesn't really have a scent at all but once you rub it on your face it smells FUNKY. That's the best way to describe it. Funky. Like it's gone bad, even though the expiration date is 2018. But I got a different bottle and it did the same thing! It's like once it mixes with your skin, it just breaks down or something.
