Comments about Differin Acne Treatment:

I used this back when I was in middle school for cystic acne and normal pimples and black heads as well. At that time you could only get it from a doctor.
I haven't been able to use it in years, but I remember when I was using it it saved my life. My acne was so bad I didn't want to talk to people, and it would keep me up at night because of the pain.
As soon as I started to use this the pain went away from my cystic acne and the redness went down as well.
It did dry out my skin a little, but only put it where you need it. It isn't an all over the place gel, strictly spot treatment only.
If you have an open acne cut don't put it on that because it will burn, but you can put it over a whitehead that hasn't been popped, over black heads (I put it over the top of my nose) and red areas that you know a pimple is going to form to start to battle it a head of time.
I've used it on my chest and back as well and shoulders too. I recommend using this at night because it will make you a little sensitive to the sun. Plus, why put on medication then put makeup over it? You risk rubbing it all off, so what's the point?

TLDR;;
I really recommend this product if you have bad acne/cystic acne and are looking for a solution with out going to the doctor.

Comments about Differin Acne Treatment:

I never really had acne until into my 30's and this is the only treatment I've found effective. I'm pretty sure I've tried EVERYTHING! It does dry the skin so it's important to moisturize too, but it works great.

Comments about Differin Acne Treatment:

I have been using this for about a month now. It has almost completely solved my moderate acne problems. When I first started using it, my skin was very dry and using any other product (moisturizers, some cleansers) would burn. I learned to use cleanser and moisturizer first, then wait at least 30 minutes before applying Differin. I purchased the travel size and it is just now starting to get low. I use a pea sized amount for my face once a day. I use this with the Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer and Proactiv Emergency Blemish Relief (for the few acne spots that do show up). This has been the best product I have used so far and according to the insert it takes longer than one month to get to the final results.

The best over the counter acne procut!

Comments about Differin Acne Treatment:

I was originally on epiduo which is basically the same thing but with benzoyl peroxide added. Adapalene (the active ingredient) has changed my life. Nothing has ever helped my acne. This has helped so much. My skin is mostly clear now. My acne is naturally pretty severe so I probably need something stronger, but try this out before giving up. And it's definitely better than the topical prescription antibiotic gels. If you have moderate to mild acne, this will probably eliminate it.

These kind of products may make your skin worse before it gets better, try to stick it out for a couple of months and see if it helps. This will also probably be way more effective than any other OTC anti aging treatment.

Comments about Differin Acne Treatment:

I've been using the prescription Retin-A for years for anti-aging, my insurance won't cover it & the price went through the roof a couple years back. When my husband (a dermatologist) said an equivalent was coming over the counter I was so excited! Why pay hundreds of dollars for all these fancy brands that advertise a tiny percentage of retinol, this is that retinol! Finally it's here and works just like the prescription.

Cons

    Comments about Differin Acne Treatment:

I was pretty excited to see this is now being sold OTC. It does not dry out your skin or make it flaky and irritated, but still brings clogs to the surface to be easily extracted. (Yeah, I know, don't pick, but I do and I like doing it.) You can even use this in conjunction with benzoyl peroxide for those nasty hormonal breakouts. I haven't been using it long, so I'm not sure to what extent it will clear my skin, but I like that it gets at the more deeply embedded acne.

I use this product at night after washing my face with a mild cleanser then I appt moisturizer.

I used this product many years ago and now I'm trying it again. Back then I used it and was prescribed by my doctor. It was the best my skin ever looked! I stopped using it due to the high price. Getting it now fm Ultra it's so much more affordable but you get less of the product. I'm excited about using it again. My best suggestion is that u give it time to work. Also you could use a product with Salicylic Acid for acne. The two of them are great together.

Been using about 2 months and so far it hasn't kept me from getting acne although when I do it seems to clear it up quicker and bring everything to the surface. I also have found that it keeps my skin from scarring as much as it usually does. Going to keep using as recommended and hopefully keep seeing results!

Most experience dryness and some irritation at first. Be patient and continue using it. Use a moisturizer for dryness. It takes time to see results but you will be happy when you stop breaking out and your skin is smooth. Your pores aren't obvious and the texture of your skin is much better. Worth the wait!
