Most Helpful Positive Review This is my favorite of the line First impressions Murad BzzzKit!!
Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum, Vitamin-C Glycolic Brightening Serum and Vitamin-C Dark Circle Corrector
Shipment recvd on April 10, 2020!!!!
They were very informative of when I was going to get my products in the mail, date it was shipped, etc. I was very excited to actually receive it in the mail, to be honest I thought it was quite too good to be true but here it is in it's glory, and per the rules of this trial I should:
-receive awesome Murad products in the mail
-test them out for two weeks
-give an honest, DETAILED review with awesome pictures and my opinion on whether I think these rock or not.
Alright beauties just so your aware...
Prior experience with Murad- none really but have heard great things until just recently I received a youth renewal serum and eye cream sample in one of my beauty subscription boxes (I think) and I was using those every other night (the youth renewal serum) and every night (the eye cream) I had only been using them for about a week or two and im sure I missed a couple days.
**Disclaimer** I replaced these products with any other facial serum I would have used (including the 2 murad products I was trying). I typically only use a cleanser, makeup remover, occasional light exfoliator cleanser, and moisturizer daily-ish and continued with that routine but used these 3 serums (Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum, Vitamin-C Glycolic Brightening Serum and Vitamin-C Dark Circle Corrector) everyday over a 2 week period. I also continued my make up application normally but I did use these every day and night.. I took pictures throughout to show the progress of before and after application, morning and evening
Note-I love the Aveeno brightening facial cleanser for a mild face wash, this is what I use. I do feel like I have sensitive skin and this does not break out your face.
And now to the good stuff!!
Night one. Revealing my products!!!
And application...
Let's start with naming the products. It looks like they all come from the Murad "Environmental Shield" line and are all part of step 2 the "treat". I believe that step one is the cleanser. I got the Vitamin-C Glycolic Brightening Serum (which is said to be used daily am and pm FIRST) applying over face and neck. The Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum was included also and it says to apply this after the brightening serum as an extra "boost" at NIGHT all over face as well. Lastly I received the Vitamin-C Dark Circle Corrector which I will apply am and pm patting gently under the eye area.
Application day one
(Evening application after shower and cleansing face)
#1 The brightening serum has made my skin feel very soft and dewy. It was a thick liquid that was yellow in color and had a shimmery tint throughout that was very pretty. Upon application however it was very painful to the existing acne patches on my skin. I'm not sure I would apply to these areas again until maybe healed a bit better. It stung very bad on those areas, but left my skin looking need I say brighter? You all can be the judge. My skin is very soft however after application but left a little sticky. Absorbed well and didn't flake off...yet
Onto the rapid age spot lightening serum.
#2The lightening serum is a clear liquid. It applied like a gel consistency. Dried quickly and went on smoothly and easily. It was not burning to the skin and left it feeling like a smooth buttery texture but sticky. Very sticky. (May be a great primer!) Will tell in the morning.
And lastly but not least, I feel the most important!
#3Under eye was a thicker lotion and same color as the brightening serum. It applied smoothly and easily patting under my eye. Appeared light the other creme with the shimmer, brightening sheen. It's light reflecting like the brightening creme. It did not hurt and blended very easily.
Application
day 2: morning
**Every morning prior to any facial application I do wash off my face with a mild cleansing water.
I began my facial routine this am with only the three Murad products. I first applied about 4 pumps of the brightening serum directly to my face. (Too much) Rubbed it in gently and there was a mild irritation and stinging again. My Face felt smooth after application and I waited about 10 mins before applying the next serum. I went ahead and did the eye cream second. I only use about half a pump per eye and I gently pat and kindof push it into my under eye area melting it in until absorbed completely. It does create a warmth underneath your eye that intensifies if you rub it in so only pat. I like this creme. Lastly the gel like brightening serum. Dried quickly and left my skin feeling sticky, prefect for a primer.
Day 2: evening
Same old but through the day I wore no make up and I had to wipe my face off to remove the flaky lotion pieces that were on my face. Conclusion less is more.
AppLied all three, a sparse amount. Patted under eye creme only until absorbed. Again leaves skin feeling sticky and I think it's the light serum, the gel one. This is my least favorite so far.
Day 3: am
I tried a different approach this am and I think im liking this better. Again less is more. I started with a light layer, only 2 pumps of the brightening cream, concentrating on the cheek area and forehead. I then applied the under eye creme, about half a pump per eye and gently patted into eye and corner if eye near nose till absorbed. I only pat now. And then the gel light serum I pump 2 squirts into my hands and rub it in then gently pat onto my face until absorbed. I'm waiting before I apply anything else. I think this is going to make a huge difference. Overall however I think I mag avoid using the gel light serum bc it flakes off my skin, the other two seem to be working well the favorite being the under eye creme.
Day 3 only applies eye cream today
Day 4 am
Skin feels better so applied again all three
Less is more!
Day 5-10
Again messed up my face with fAce razors ahhh! Had to take a couple days rest of everything on my face. I did continue to use the eye creme however and I used the first brightening serum. A few times.
I will say less is certainly more. You do not need a lot of this product.
Day 11- 14
Am application
Applied all three serums. Used one good squirt of the bright serum, a 3/4 squirt of the eye creme to use on both eyes and about a squirt and a half of the light serum.
With the light serum I now apply to my palm and rub it on all my fingers then pat it on my face lightly all over like the eye creme. I also before applying this gel like serum will use a cotton round to wipe around my eye area and get any excess eye creme removed. The eye creme needs to stay under the eye area only. If any gets rubbed lower down it will flake off. So pat the eye creme directly under the eye where your dark circles lay ONLY. If it goes anywhere else and mixes with anything else it will flake off. I think this works best. I am learning as I go, still unsure if it is helping. All of the creme's are less harsh and do not burn or tingle on my face now either.
Final thoughts:
I see now I am requested to review each item individually so I will attach the above with my pictures to all and then attach my final thoughts on each item also. Thanks everyone for reading my extensive review. I hope it helps.
*disclaimer I am not new to makeup but I am slightly fresher in the skincare so my techniques are my own and no one elses. I don't claim to be better or worse at anything and these are just my personal thoughts and review on these products and how they worked on MY skin. Everyone is different and beautiful and what may not work on some may work wonders on others. Always keep that in mind!!!!
Final thoughts
Lightening serum - overall less is way more. I would suggest using it as a toner almost. Apply last and lightly pat onto skin until dry. It feels and resembles hair gel and is sticky as such. Less is more. Worked okay as a primer, I never wanted to use too much makeup over top these products because I figured it would ruin it. I never personally saw much of a difference but maybe my face isn't super dull? I dunno.
Brightening Cream - this product is intended to go on first and again less is more. I applied about a good pump to my face, make sure you have no cuts or irritations already on your skin as it will burn. My face started off a little sensitive so this creme wAs a bit harsh at first but after a few days my face calmed down (unrelated to these products) and these serums no longer burned or tingled. Again I never really could tell a difference though. It did make me wear less makeup however and I wouldn't say I hated this. I will say if you apply more then it does tend to flake off so remember less is more. Overall I probably wont add these creme's and serums to my daily routine. I don't think it made a huge difference and I didn't like the flaking of the product. That did stop after I started using less.
Eye creme- Now the eye creme was my favorite of all three and I continue to use this one on the daily. Do I see a difference? No. Maybe you all can notice one but I don't but for some reason I still use it. I must like it! It is a lighter orange color that seems like it would brighten the under eye and I think that's about it. I think it will give a brightening effect but it does not cover up any darkness. Dark circles are still there as you can see. I would be hesitant to use this under another product bc it did get flaky but only in places outside the orbital eye area. Overall I seemed to like this product but I don't think there is much of a difference
I already stopped using the other two. I guess just personally this Murad trio was not my favorite but I have come to love Murad products such as the renewing eye creme and the retinol youth serum. Thanks beauties!
Most Helpful Critical Review Seem to be allergic to this eye cream I received this dark circle corrector as a gift (as part of a Bzzkit, also received the Murad rapid dark spot correcting serum). I was really excited to try it out, and I put on the eye cream overnight the day it arrived. I used one pump for both eyes, as it spreads easily and a little bit goes a long way. The eye cream has golden shimmer which is very pretty. Initially it felt nice— I normally don't use an eye cream and just use my face lotion on my eyes, so I was excited to try an eye cream, especially because I have both redness and dark circles around my eyes, and this product is supposed to help with both of those. However the next morning my eyes were super puffy, way more puffy than normal in the mornings, and were also kind of hot. I have very sensitive skin, particularly around the eyes, and obviously allergies are individual so just because I had an allergic reaction doesn't mean someone else would. I checked the ingredients to see if there was anything that was a known allergen for me— one of the ingredients is "terminalia Ferdinandiana fruit extract" which apparently is a type of Australian plum. I have never eaten this particular variety of plum, however I am allergic to the normal plums you buy in American grocery stores, so I am assuming this is what caused my issue because none of the other ingredients seemed like anything that would be irritating. Thus, if you are not allergic to plums, this may totally work for you! However, I cannot evaluate its effectiveness because I was afraid to use it after the initial allergic reaction. I was really excited about the idea of a dark circle/ red circle corrector, so I guess I will see if another company makes a vitC Eye cream without any fruit extracts. One positive thing I will say about Murad: normally I assume that the various plant/fruit extracts in these types of products are just there for show but really are at too low of levels to actually do anything. However, if Murad put enough of this Australian plum extract in this cream to cause an allergic reaction, they must actually put substantial quantities of all of these plant extracts in their products! I really liked the other product I received (rapid dark spot correcting serum), and most people do not have weird allergies like plum allergies, so I think Murad is a good brand overall, just this particular product does not work for me because It gives me an allergic reaction. One other thing I will say is that the packaging is great! I accidentally dropped this on the tile floor in the bathroom and the outside part cracked, but not the inside where the actual product is. The jar is very thick with two layers but that lets the outside layer act as a "helmet" for the inside, which apparently I need, haha.

So I've had bags and dark circles for as long as i could remember I honestly thought I'd have them forever but I tried this product and not to sound corny but i literally can not believe my eyes. I started noticing a difference after just a few days of using it. My eyes looks so awake and vibrant and they are actually well on there way to becoming to same color as the rest of my face. I highly recommend this serum it's definitely given me a huge boost in my confidence
Sceptic but turned believer!!!!!!!!!! 5

I went into Ulta looking for under eye color corrector and the sales woman recommend this to me. I balked a bit at the price but she swore it was liquid gold, and I'm a sucker so I bought it without even googling it (gasp!). After ONE USE I was hooked. INSTANTLY brightens the eye, and I've been using a week so I'm excited to see the long term effects as well!
This really works! 5
Shelley from Buffalo, NY
After about two weeks of consistent use (every evening before bed), I seriously noticed a decrease in the darkness of my under eye circles! It is expensive, but since I use it all the time and it works for me, I say it's totally worth it.
The other day I was in Ulta, possibly looking for a concealer, and the salesperson asked if I was currently wearing any makeup, but I wasn't; she couldn't believe it! I don't even feel the need to wear an undereye concealer anymore!! Personally, I prefer a more natural look, as opposed to the super bright and highlighted look that some people like. So for those who want that look, you might still want to wear concealer, but I know I am finally comfortable without one. That's how good this product is!

I'm mid 40s with dark circles and puffiness under my eyes and can attest to this product working well! On a scale of 1-10 with darkest being 10 my circles were a 5-6. I don't get quality sleep and have been looking for a product to help reduce dark circles and minimize puffiness. I noticed a difference in just 2 days using AM and PM. I love the gold, orange hue it has to immediately reduce dark circles and my puffiness has reduce 90%. I've been using the product for a month now and love it and whole heartedly recommend it for dark circles and puffiness.
2 weeks is not enough 4
tloco6 from San Diego, CA
I've applied this product daily for 2 weeks but have not noticed any significant change in my dark spots or blemishes, nor has the skin gotten any lighter. The serum is clear and applies smoothly. I do notice the scent of Vitamin C when dispensed and applied on the skin. It may be because of the properties of Vitamin C, but it did leave my skin feeling a little tacky and tight and I wanted to apply moisturizer over it.
Very hydrating 4

I noticed that the Vita-C Eyes Dark Circle Corrector has gold accents in it as a number of under eye gel's collagen eye mask do, to reduce eye bags and wrinkles.
The Vita-C Eyes Dark Circle Corrector is very hydrating around the delicate part of my eyes.
Today, I received a little bit of burning during the initial application but, after that it subsided.
After 10 days of use, my skin feels like it's tightening.
Thank you BzzAgent Team for the opportunity to try the Murad products.
Work in progress. . . . 4

I'm in the middle of a 2 week trial period for this product and I haven't seen much improvement in terms of correcting my dark circles. It was recommended that I use the product for two weeks in order to see results and I'll be back with a review update at that time.
I received this complimentary product from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest opinion.
Amazing! 5

I'm a single mom to 4 kids, all of whom are homeschooling full time right now. Between homeschooling them all and being stuck inside, stress is super high and sleep is... well it's not! I've developed dark circles under my eyes from lack of restful sleep and stress. I could see a difference with this in just a couple of days. My dark circles were brightened and I looked rested and refreshed. Even my 11 year old noticed and made a comment! He said "wow, you look like you slept for hours!" I didn't, but this certainly helps me look like I did!
New fav eye product 5
Pita from CA
When I use this cream it makes the skin under my eyes look and feel so soft. I have sensitive skin and I have not had any allergic reaction which is a plus for me. This has been my new fav in my skincare routine!
Immediate brightening 4
Liz D from Eau Claire, WI
This has an immediate brightening around your eyes-dramatically so! It gives your under eyes an almost sparkly brightened look, but use it sparingly! I got a little heavy handed one night & found it would pill & looked almost like a highlighter under my eyes. If used lightly it wakes your under eyes & orbital region up—to the point that I didn't need concealer under my eyes. Since there is a temporary effect, it can be used both night & day to brighten your eyes. After a few weeks it is supposed to have permanent brightening effects w/ its Niacinamide & gold stabilized Vit C. It's definitely focused on brightening opposed to being a moisturizer heavy eye cream but still provides the level I need personally. Although none of it outweighs the positive, there are a few things I disliked about the eye cream. First, it does have a slight tingle/burn when first applied to the thin & fragile skin directly around my eyes. It does go away quickly but it was a concern at first. I'm dismayed by the inclusion of Dimethicone (silicone) in it. It allows for it to smooth over your skin & create this protected & smoothed feeling but there is so much varying info about its safety in cosmetics. Finally, I disliked the packaging. It is deceptive in how much is in the bottle—it is twice the size of how much is actually in it (has 15mL inside), but it is the fact that you are unable to see how much is left in the container. It doesn't appear you can open it up unless you destroy the bottle & you can't see inside of it so one day it will just run out & I have no foresight that I will be getting close to the end of the bottle. Overall, I like the product itself & feel it's great for those who need an instant refreshing of their under eyes & hopefully within a matter of weeks I will see long term benefits as well.
Soothing and absorbs well! 4
Kaity from South Carolina
This is a hydrating eye cream that is soothing and helps calm the eye area as well as help with dark circles. It's pretty comparable to my Sunday Riley Auto Correct, but since this formula doesn't have caffeine, you don't get the tingling that you do with the Auto Correct. I will say if you have puffiness, it doesn't seem to do too much, but I haven't used this longer than a month so I can't say for sure it lightens the dark circles a ton.
Seen a little difference 3

I didn't see too much change in my under eye area. I was disappointed because I really thought it would work. I do like how it adds shimmer though.

I have deep bags under my eyes and noticed quick results in the reduction of my under eye bags and also on my sun spots throughout my mask line.

Dark eye circles is not a huge issue for my at the moment, but I am always one for being proactive in managing my skin. This product was easy to dispense and apply. It did not feel too heavy or greasy. I liked using this especially on days when I wore make-up (I try to at least go make-up free on the weekends) as it helped balance the coloring of the darker areas I do have.
Great Dark Circle Corrector 4
AmyL from Southbridge, MA
I received the Murad Vita-C Eyes Dark Circle Corrector for my honest review. I have used this product for about two weeks and think it works okay. The serum is light, with gold flecks in it. It has definitely brightened around my eyes. I still have dark circles, but I'm not sure any product can fix them. I am happy with the results though and will continue to use this product.
Great product 5
Veronica from Atwater
As someone who has suffered from dark circles under my eyes since I was in middle school, I never really thought there would be anthing that would be able to help the problem. However, I can honestly say I have nticed a visible difference since I started using this product. Overall it is a good formula. It's not some kind of miracle potion that will make the dark circles go away over night but I can say from personal experience that with consistent and continual use, this product has slowly shown results for me.
Decent Pearlescent Eye Cream 2
BeerBadIsAGoodEpisodeActually from NJ
I got this free for review purposes from BzzAgent. The main and only active ingredient is Vitamin C, which is a good antioxidant (can prevent and reverse signs of aging) and can lighten dark skin discolorations over time. The main moisturizing ingredients are glycerin and silicone, and it has some slightly shiny mineral pigment to reflect light and somewhat offset dark circles and shadows.
The formulation is pretty standard. The Vitamin C can lighten dark circles caused the skin around the eye actually being darker, but mine are due to being pale and being able to see the blood vessels through my skin, so. Lol.
Also, caffeine, which has been the only thing that really minimizes my type of dark circles, isn't included. It can also help reduce swelling/puffiness, which this product claims it can do with an algae extract. I have noticed perhaps a slight de-puffing effect, but I'm honestly not really sure.
Basically, it's a decent price but the price is outrageous. You can get moisturizing products with Vitamin C for a lot cheaper. This just isn't offering anything extraordinary for the price - no peptides or other newer, exciting ingredients, not even caffeine. I expect more from a high end brand like Murad. The bottle is cute though.
Love It! 5
DallasMom from Dallas, TX
I am in love with this eye serum. It's very light and absorbs very quickly into my skin with zero eye/skin irritation. I really like the microminerals to give a little brightening right away. My eyes appear a lot less tired! One thing to be careful of - a little goes a long way. A full pump is way too much, use about half a pump.
Miracle Eraser 5
JodiGlamGirl from Nashville
I've got Scandinavian in my genetics and the hereditary dark circles under eyes that comes with it. Doesn't matter how much sleep I get or don't get. They are always there. Nothing has ever worked before. Concealer is a must have for me - even on no makeup days. This really did help. They key for me was to use 2xs a day - before makeup and at night. I think it's because the gold infused cream reflects light rather than absorbs it. Genius! And other ingredients help strengthen your delicate thin under eye skin which helps too. Only a very small amount is needed. A full pump was too much so this will last and last. The price tag 🏷 is more than worth it.

Murad is a very good product for me. I liked the serum for the spots. If it is lightening the spots and I think it is the freckles. What I like the most is that it has no perfume. I do not support products with perfume

I need more time it sort of clogged the pores a bit and peeled the skin a bit. I saw a little improvement but not as much as I wanted. I was given this product for free to test for my unbiased opinion.

I do really enjoy this product but I didn't find the results great. I was hoping for a bit more correction BUT I do thoroughly enjoy the product, the fact that it goes on smoothly, and that a little guys a long way. Definitely a worthwhile product!
I love everything about this 5
MamaHynson from Washington
I'm always skeptical when trying a new skin product but this did not disappoint and will be in my regular routine from now on. My face really does look brighter and more youthful. I'm excited to see what continued use brings about.
I also want to point out how nice the packaging is, I love the bottle style it doesn't pump out too much product resulting in waste.
Impressive 4

I'm so happy to have been able to try this product as I love this brand! To start off I will say I do not think eye creams are necessary but Iam seeing results with this particular product. I do not have a issue with dark under eyes ..more so puffiness. I do find that this helps calm that area down. The biggest difference I notice is my under eye area seems much brighter already! I love that is does not burn my eyes as that seems to a issue I have had in the past.
Nothing Miraculous 4
Redchyna from Alabama
I can't give the best review of this product because I don't have dark under eye circles, but I did like the packaging, consistency of the product, and it had a neutral smell. Also, it didn't irritate my skin, so that's a plus. I'd recommend it to someone that actually needs it.
