Q
What's the difference between cc cream and BB cream
Asked by lu
Official Answer By L'Oréal - Brand Engage
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out to us about the Studio Secrets Magic Skin Beautifier B.B. Cream. BB and CC creams are both makeup products offering skincare benefits, but they differ in their primary focus. BB cream, or "beauty balm," is known for its light coverage and focus on moisturizing, evening skin tone, and providing a natural, radiant finish. CC cream, or "color correcting" cream, emphasizes correcting skin tone issues like redness, dark spots, or dullness with color-correcting pigments. We hope this information is helpful and you find the best suited product for your needs. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Does this contain Parabens? This wasnt answered in the previous queations.
Asked by Lynn
Official Answer By L'Oréal - Brand Engage
Parabens are a group of commonly used ingredients that act as a preservative in cosmetics and personal care products. They are highly effective in preventing the growth of fungi, bacteria, and yeast that could contaminate and degrade products. As part of our commitment to deliver high-quality, effective products, certain parabens are used in some of our formulations to ensure the safety of our consumers. Extensive research spanning decades has confirmed the parabens in our portfolio are safe at the concentrations we use. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates the personal care industry, upholds these findings. While we take great care in evaluating each ingredient we use and are confident in our products’ safety, we know there is public conversation encouraging consumers to avoid certain ingredients, as is the case with some parabens. Based on growing demand for products that do not include parabens, we substituted them for other preservatives in some of our products. Consumers can look on our products’ labels to see what ingredients are included. Additionally, as part of our innovation strategy we are developing packaging systems and new product formulations that are less vulnerable to microbiological contamination, which will limit the use of preservatives in general. As we have for over the past 100 years, we will continue to take a rigorous approach to product quality and safety, while monitoring consumer insights and preferences. If you would like to learn more about parabens and how they protect your safety, we encourage you to visit: https://inside-our-products.loreal.com/ingredients/parabens.Was this answer helpful to you

What has happened to this product? I've used this BB cream for the last three or four years - always in the "Fair" shade. My last two purchases were labeled "Fair" with the French word beside it with a slightly different look to the tube. The product was quite runny out of the tube. When I appli...

BRING BACK FAIR!!!

Submitted 1 month ago

By J

From PA

I used this product in Fair literally since it launched like 15 years ago. A couple years ago I noticed it was "broken" more, with a clear liquid coming out of the tube more often, but it still worked and blended and color was great. Then last year they just discontinued it? Fair was a great shade, this was a great product with even coverage without covering my freckles. Light is HORRIBLE, it is orange tinted and much darker for the next value. I looked like I tried a spray tan when I used it. Have no idea why they would drop a cult favorite... For those looking, I have found the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream in No 21 Light Beige to be a decent option for me- it is a touch thicker but it wears well and doesn't cover up my freckles.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Light is too dark, but they got rid of Fair

Submitted 3 months ago

I have been using this product for quite some time. They used to have a Fair color, but have apparently discontinued it. I thought the Light would be close enough but it turns orange so I have to use other products to tone it down until i find something to replace it. Very unhappy! Will be returning!

I purchased light, which is orange. Also emphasizes texture for some reason.

Bring back "Fair"!!!

Submitted 4 months ago

By Tasha

From California

I used to use this product every day. The fair was a perfect match for my skin for most of the year. During the summer months I would mix in a little bit of "light" (which is too orange to use alone) to match my sun-kissed skin. Now L'Oreal discontinued the "Fair" color and I'm having to try and find a new product. SUPER disappointing.

Dark and orange

Submitted 4 months ago

By Kim

From NV

I have fair skin with freckles. I purchased this in "light." It comes out of the tube white, and turns a dark orange color when applied. It's so unnatural and definitely not for fair skin tones. This was just an awful product. I will be returning it.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
