Lovely
Not sure if it's due to postpartum hormones, stress, the silicones I was accidentally using (I know, I know - read the labels!), or, likely, a combination of the above, but my scalp has been super itchy and flaky this summer. I've even scratched scabs in a couple spots! Yikes! I picked up this serum...

Nice scent and felt nice on scalp. Burns if left on too long
I really enjoyed this product but it could definitely be improved. I love this product not only because its affordable but What I really like is that my scalp feels refreshed and clean afterward, but my hair doesn't feel stripped or overly dry. The formula also has ingredients like aloe, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, rosemary, sage and thyme, so it feels more like a hydrating scalp treatment than just an oil. if you're looking for an easy weekly scalp-care step to help your scalp feel refreshed, hydrated and cared for, I definitely think it's worth trying.

Is it safe to use with keratin treated hair
- Asked by mar
- Official Answer By Pacifica Beauty - Brand EngageHi there! Our Scalp Love Rosemary Mint Serum is formulated without sulfates or harsh ingredients, so it’s generally safe for keratin-treated hair. With herbal extracts of sage, thyme and witch hazel, it is designed to help detox and loosen buildup while soothing and hydrating your scalp. That said, everyone’s hair and treatments can be a little different, so we always recommend checking in with your stylist or doing a small patch test first to be extra sure. Was this answer helpful to you

I saw in the reviews this contains ascorbic acid and sodium benzoate; which forms a known carcinogen. Is this a worry for this product?
- Asked by Bri
- Official Answer By Pacifica Beauty - Brand EngageThank you for your question! You're correct that ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and sodium benzoate can, under certain rare conditions (like heat, light, or metal contamination), form benzene - a known carcinogen. However, that reaction has been observed primarily in stored beverages and requires very specific catalysts. In cosmetic products, especially when properly formulated, stored, and used as intended, these conditions are not present. Sodium benzoate is considered safe and is widely used in both food and cosmetics, and any potential benzene formation in this serum is extremely unlikely and would be at an undetectable, negligible level. Clinical and regulatory consensus is that there's no safety concern for topical use of products containing both ingredients. Was this answer helpful to you

Is this product ok to use on color treated hair? I don't want it removing my color.
- Asked by arbez1201
- Official Answer By Pacifica Beauty - Brand EngageHi! Yes, this formula is safe for color-treated hair—it's free of sulfates that can strip color, and instead features gentle, nourishing ingredients like aloe, panthenol (vitamin B5), and hyaluronic acid, along with soothing botanical extracts and no harsh alcohols or peroxide. We always recommend a patch test at the back of the scalp, but we've not had any customers with issues. Was this answer helpful to you
