Most Helpful Positive Review Nars vs Urban Decay
I mainly wear my concealer under my eyes and as a spot treatment for blemishes. I've wore Covergirl concealer for ages and wanted to try something different. I picked 2 popular brands to try out because both were so highly rated on Ulta and other websites. I tested both the Urban Decay Naked concealer and the Nars concealer. I even wore Urban Decay on one eye and Nars on the other for several days, just so I could monitor the coverage throughout the day. Same for spot treatments. The first thing I noticed with these higher end, longer lasting concealers was creasing. I've never had that problem before so I had to research a solution. I learned to use a moisturizer/oil first, blot/blend the concealer with my finger and set with powder immediately. So I tested the 2 concealers again. Problem solved on both concealers. Urban Decay is much creamer than Nars so it blended with ease, like a lotion. It didn't last as long with spot treatments though. Eye wise, they were both pretty close but I felt that Nars made my skin look more flawless than Urban Decay. Nars is thicker than Urban Decay but spreads with no drag and doesn't look cakey. I think the thicker formula is why it sticks to blemishes better too. I can go all day at my office job and not touch up any spots, even after working out on lunch! Nars was the winner for me and was WAY better at lasting coverage compared to my old Covergirl concealer. I use the Vanilla shade and I have oily skin.
Most Helpful Critical Review just not good
I've been a makeup artist for around 13 years so i've tried SO many concealers. I love buying concealer, just as much as I love buying mascara because I guess i'm always just waiting for that one amazing product that's gonna be super life changing. This was definitely NOT one of those products. First off, the color range was just not great. I own several NARS foundations, and can easily find my shade in those (alaska in velvet matte skin tint, for example). I'm light-medium with a golden/yellow undertone. The golden tones in this concealer are either too light or too dark. Custard is their light/medium with a yellow undertone..then comes ginger. Custard was way too light, ginger was way too dark. In between those shades, there are other peachy tones like canelle, but if you're truly golden/yellow like me...peachy tones just look like you've rubbed pink eyeshadow all over your face. So that part was disappointing..and I run into this same issue in all of NARS concealers. So, beware of that if you're light and golden like myself. Then there was the issue with the texture. I'm not one of those people who piles on concealer and foundation...I personally feel that it's more modern and pretty and chic to blend concealer strategically so that you appear to just naturally have great skin...and with practice that is possible. And believe me, I don't naturally have great skin I'm just not into the mask-like foundation/concealer look. The goal is for people to look at me and think "wow her skin is so pretty" not "wow look at all that foundation." But the texture of this concealer was SO CAKEY. Even using light layers, and blending..it was just cakey no matter what. It's a drier consistency, and manages to make texture appear where there is not even any natural texture. For the price, this guy just is a dud. There are way better concealers out there with better shade ranges, and more advanced textures.

Coming from a professional, this is the creamiest, most blend-able formula i've ever used. Get this.

This is almost the prefect canceler. I love the consistency and the coverage level. The only thing is that the shade vanilla is not quite pink enough for my skin tone. I can work with it but I wish that it was a better match.
Perfect for my skin!!

I have acne prone and dry skin, so it's difficult for me to find a concealer that doesnt look cakey. Chantily is my perfect shade and covers up my blemishes very well, and it doesnt stick to my dry patches. My favorite and go to!!!

Love this concealer!
Best concealer for under eyes.

Perfect color and coverage
LadyT from Atlanta
Coverage is great and the color is perfect for me - slightly pinky beige. It covers everything well, and stays.

Goes on perfect everytime and doesn't leave creases or cakey under eyes. I dab the product on, use a sponge to spread and then final swipe with foundation brush for blend. I use Vanilla in the winter and Creme Brulee in the summer.
I don't get it

I do not understand how this has so much hype. I have tried this three different times and it makes my skin look awful. It slides off my face, there is absolutely no coverage and sinks into any line you have.. I've tried it so many different ways and I unfortunately I wouldn't recommend. :(
Great Under Eye Cover Up

I've heard how great this concealer is and whenever I would ask someone what their favorite concealer was, most of the time they told me NARS. Goes on great, good color match. Very happy with the coverage and the length the coverage stays.
This stuff is the bomb
PharmEm from Raleigh, NC
I guess I'm showing my age by saying it's the bomb but seriously it's the bomb. I have tried a lot of concealers and none of them compare to this. Most are sticky, too heavy or too thin, shiny, color is wrong, wears off after a few hours, or irritates my eyes. Not so with this one! It checks all the boxes. I love that it stays put all day without feeling caked on or drying out. My dark circles are genetic so they are always there. I don't even go out in my yard without under eye concealer because well it's a little scary LOL. Yes it is pricey but you will not be disappointed.

Best product ever for 50+! Blurts lines and doesn't settle in them. A must have!!
One of my Fav concealers
Anna the lover from Houston, TX
I love this concealer, it's probably one of my top favorites. It conceals my dark under eyes well, and doesn't crease especially if I apply it lightly and gently. And also works will with all my foundations. I'm very grateful to have finally found a good go too.

Find I need to mix this concealer with a moisturizer and apply with a damp sponge to avoid tugging around my eyes. Color and coverage is very good. Won't be buying this concealer again.

I'm switching to the Nars Creamy Concealer after I tried a sample! If I use Clinique Even Better Glow CN 28 and Tarte Creaseless concealer N13, what shade would you recommend?
THE best concealer.

Love this concealer. If I had to choose only one makeup product it would be this concealer. Don't leave home without it on
I would buy this product again

this stuff is the bomb. when I read the reviews I had to try it and I'm glad I did, this stuff covered my under eyes so well couldn't see anything. it's creamy and alil goes a way, worth the money too me...
Radiant, full coverage that feels light
Kate from RI
As the weather gets warmer, I have a tendency to forego foundation and just use concealer. Not all over my face, but I do give each cheek a swipe. Blends well despite the coverage it provides. Beautiful, radiant finish. Unfortunately, I do still see creasing/ settling into fine lines. I recently tried the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Self Setting concealer (unfortunately not carried by Ulta) and i do find that one to be much less heavy, which lead to less creasing.
Ulta failed me
sad from tn
At first, I thought this concealer wasn't as hydrating and creamy as all of the reviews led me to believe. However, I realized I must have received a bad batch or something because when I pull the applicator out there is HARDLY anything on it! I'm scraping the sides for concealer when it's a BRAND NEW product! Aside from that, the coverage was nice but I needed to reallyyyy pack on powder to stop it from creasing.

The best concealer for mature skin and I've tried them all!
Great coverage for older women!
Dottyannann from Rochester, MI
I was looking for a good concealer that didn't look too cakey or settle in fine lines. I am 58 and stayed away from concealers because I thought they would like fake. Researching the best concealers for older women, it all kept coming back to NARS. Best purchase ever!
One of my favs
Carlie from KC MO
I've tried many concealers and they always crack under my eyes or do not blend in we'll with my skin tone. This one is perfect. It blends so well and looks like I'm not wearing concealer.
