Not only is this affordable but it makes it more easier to apply with the applicator. It is great for a beginner

i don't ever wear makeup but spontaneously i decided why not give this a try. it works pretty good but you may need to redip the brush as the eyeliner does start to fade as you apply. although it does it's job it also smears away easily, though it doesn't leave a mark... mine would go away but wouldn't leave any traces which is fine not too bothersome but still. love it
best liner ever

So I have hooded eyelids, and no liner EVER has ever ever ever lasted on my eyes, nope not stila, not kat von d, not anything. I thought I would have to live with with smudges to my top lid for my entire life.... I bought this on a whim because I was tired of paying a lot, I didnt have high expectations at all, if high end brands cant be long lasting, how can elf? I was so wrong. This eyeliner does not budge, this is the only eyeliner that works for me literally. I now know how it feels to just wear eyeliner and not worry!!! And the best part is, at the end of the day it does not take a lot to remove it! It comes off easily yet has long staying power?? Magic in a bottle I tell you. If they ever discontinue this i'm buying the entire stock as a back up no joke.

I had purchased this exact liner just for the sake of saving money and I happened to need something to practice doing eyeliner with. It is decent for those middle schoolers/beginners who really want to wear liner but don't know where to start and don't want to spend a lot of money into something they aren't sure about. It very precise if you have a light and steady hand while applying, the tip is very brush-like which could help with width without applying over and over, and the liner in the bottle doesn't dry out fast (like the other liners the come out through the spongy tip)! but with that being said it takes its time to dry once applied... so the second you apply you have to be gentle with your eyes or else it's everywhere. (also be cautious if it touches your lashes! because of its slow drying time if it's on your lashes and you blink the liner will also get on your lids or just in that general area) it is not water/smudge proof. If you cry your eyes out the eyeliner is basically gone. if you rub your eyes the eyeliner is basically gone. in some cases that's a good thing! it means there's little to no smudge marks and easy to clean off your face hah. it can still last the day if you are gentle around where you applied. it's dries decently and finishes kind of glossy if that makes sense, sometimes i'd try and put eyeshadow over if i want. It does wear down, might have to clean the edges at the end of your eye/ check to see if it's worn off sometimes it's good when you know how to use it and if you want to wear makeup around but don't want to wear your high end liners! good luck with this one! it's either a hit or miss but it could be worse for something that's about 3 bucks. hope this could help!
