Most Helpful Positive Review Snooty Brand girl impressed by Drugstore buy I had stopped buying Drugstore brands for over ten years because I had such incredibly sensitive and acne prone skin until a recent family event left me financially struggling. On a whim, I picked up this little thing since I had no foundation for my little sister's graduation for her dual masters. The biggest reason I opted for WW Photofocus over other drugstore brands? They had the skin tone listed on the bottle and despite my concerns, it was a perfect match.
It used to be foundations (other than Bareminerals) would cause my skin to itch so bad after a couple of hours that sometimes I would even scratch til I bled or I would wake up with horrible breakouts. Even a decade later, after seeing an imunnologist, some makeup still does but this one didn't. It even impressed me that after my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class, most of it stayed on my face! Though, I still wouldn't recommend it for such activities.
It blended well with WW contour stick, hoola bronzer, and Tarte's contour stick. Definitely a staple on my vanity from now on.
Most Helpful Critical Review Save your money, don't buy this I bought this after seeing numerous "YouTube makeup guru's," raving about it. Although it is extremely affordable, I would have much rather put the $6 towards a different foundation. I applied with a brush- streaky. I applied with a beauty blender- patchy. Primer or no primer, powder or no powder, doesn't matter, it doesn't stay put. It even made my tarte shape tape look bad... creased everywhere it could- places I didn't even know I had fine lines!! I should have guessed my skin would be irritated and break out just by the heavy duty paint smell that this product has. My skin is now peeling (dry patches that I didn't have before) and small pimples (never been acne prone).
Really just an all around awful foundation. Don't let the price tag lure you in!

Great cheap solution BUT... 4

Used with a beauty blender decent coverage the smell takes time to get used to says its cruelty free and cheaper solution if you are looking for a new foundation.
Would buy again! 4

This foundation has its cons but over all its a really great foundation for the price. If you have extremely oily skin like me, this foundation will not help control the oil but the coverage is nice. Definitely buildable and not cakey.
decent! 3

gives okay coverage, did the minimum. i don't think i did my skincare properly so it looked a tad cakey, but other than that it's okay!
First foundation, not my last! i'm switching to a different1 2

not a fan. it showed all of my peach fuzz and my dry patches. I would say it's medium coverage but not buildable. The more you put the same it looks... :( so disappointed. i got buff bisque (i think) i also have combination skin. my nose is super oily and i expected it to cover all my blackheads and acne there. it didn't. it showed my peach fuzz and blackheads. broke out in that area. also hard to apply because you see brush and finger prints. oxides on my face and turns orange. i can only use on my cheeks(normal skin part) and i have to mix with like five pumps of moisturizer to get ONLY a tinted foundation. honestly i'm disappointed wet and wild and not proud. 👎

Amazing Medium Coverage 5
Tess from Indiana
I usually use high end foundation and stick with full coverage but tried this for the price and I'm hooked! It's truly a buildable coverage and isn't matte but doesn't leave my face shiny either. I love the applicator, it's not a pump but i don't have to pour out the foundation to get it, I can apply it to my face then blend with a brush or sponge. Overall very pleased with the product, it's looks very natural on my face and the color range is great.

I've tried this many times many different ways and applications all in all it's not good.
it's a good foundation 4

I say this is a "good" foundation because it's not amazing, but it's not bad. for the price point, it really just gets the job done. i have oily skin & this foundation is matte for about the first 5 hours or so, & then you can visibly see my oil starting to shine through the foundation. i don't know if that's the fault of my oily skin, or if the foundation is not as matte as it claims to be. it stays on transfer resistant up until that point, & then after that it transfers very easily. but then again, i have yet to find a true matte/transfer proof foundation that works for my oily skin (even fenty beauty's foundation does it a little bit). it does smell like paint. but i love the applicator. has good coverage. i 100% like it better than maybelline fit me liquid foundation (matte version). that one NEVER dries down on me!! so if you are looking for a cheap foundation that gets the job done, this one should work for you, preferably if you have combo skin. or you carry a pressed powder with you to cover up the oils.

I have always bought expensive foundations. This one blew me away when I first tried it. I've been using it for two months now, and I've been noticing my face starts to almost burn by the end of the day. This foundation hugely irritates my face— dry patches(I'm VERY oily normally) and bumps of irritation. I work from home so it's not due to wearing a mask either. I loved the finish but it started to feel like silicone sitting on my skin as the day went on. Definitely not a foundation I recommend for every day use. I struggle to think if i even recommend this at all now. I'm sad that i I loved this and it helped me find my true foundation color but unfortunately, I'm back on the foundation hunt.
Great coverage 5
Lisa Ma from Orlando FL
I was shocked as I have always used a high end base. The coverage is great ( I don't like it heavy) and the color palette is good. It doesn't have sunscreen component but haven't been going on much these days. Definitely worth trying .
HORRIBLE 3

This is the worst foundation I have ever used!! It smells like paint and oxidizes very bad only think I liked was the applicator. Will not buy again can get much better foundation for not much more money.
THE FORMULA HAS CHANGED!!!!!!! 1
Paris from San Diego
I have been using wet and wild photo focus for years now. Ever since they added a matte and dewy formula instead of the original, the formula went downhill. I thought I was just imagining it, but I compared my old bottle formula to a new one, and discovered that they upped the dimethicone and water to the once very drying original formula. So disappointed.
Amazing! 5

The absolute best foundation I've tried so far...I've tried all the high end foundations and the only one that had almost come close to wet n wild is the Dior one. Other then that this foundation is undefeated! And for the price wow wow wow.
Thought this would be my holy grail 1

Wanted to love this because a friend recommended this to me, but I can't. The applicator isn't helpful and it noticeably sits on top of your pores. Pros would be is the shades really do match skin tones and it's buildable (if that's your thing; I hated that part personally because I had to go over spots consistently). Just not my favorite but might depend on your skin type and application method. Just doesn't mine!
Good Foundation at a Great Price 4
MandyChick from Tampa area
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this foundation! At such a low price point it really is nice. My big pet peeve in life is when neutral foundations still have too much peach in them for my skin tone, but this one, along with Lancome, are the only two that don't! The finish is nice and even too. On the negative side, it does not set as well as a pricier foundation and tends to slide around a lot. It also smells like Play-Doh to me which is not my favorite smell.
No bad 4
Isabel from Beaumont,tx
At first when I used it I thought it was my imagination but it is not like that, the foundation dries quickly, my skin type is oily, I used the same product that I always use before the foundation; And I didn't like the consistency, it dries very quickly and leaves my face very dry. I don't know why I used the sponge on that occasion. I'm going to give it another chance and treat it with a brush. What happens? covers those areas of my face that is why I am being careful so that you can treat in another way ...
Nice 3

I like the foundation but it has a strong paint smell but other than that it was nice.
Patchy 2
Peyton from Ohio
I tried this foundation after hearing good things about it. It goes on nicely but got patchy shortly after applying it. I felt like the foundation moved a lot throughout the day and was not looking very nice by the evening.
New favorite! 5
Amanda Please from Dallas
I love this foundation! I was always skeptical of trying it because it's so inexpensive, but I am so glad I tried it! It has medium to full coverage. I can usually attain a high medium coverage with 2 pumps (I bought a pump separately from another site). I use a sponge so you probably need less with a brush. I have mild acne with scarring and I think it does a great job covering. It keeps me Matte and hasn't cause any breakouts so far. The finish is very nice on my oily skin. I usually use KVD lock it foundation, but I think I found my new favorite! Side note, I've seen a lot of comments on the smell. It smells like this because there are no fragrances nor masking ingredients in this foundation. A lot of foundations add fragrance to mask unsavory smells but wet n wild didn't do that here. Fragrance free is actually much better for your skin so for me that's a plus.
Better than most high end foundations 5

Love this foundation better than most high end foundations that ive tried
Wanted to love, but stinky 2
Annie C from Cincinnati, OH
I have heard good things about this foundation , and it's so inexpensive I couldn't wait to give it a try! To love a foundation and not have it cost an arm and a leg would be amazing! I should have paid more attention to the other comments about the smell. If it's something that will bother you, don't buy this! Hours into wearing it, I'm still catching whiffs. The coverage and finish are ok. Today acceptable if it didn't stink.
Great foundation that doesn't cling on patches! 5

It's a great foundation, makes my skin look good, I don't notice the smell as much as others but when I do I don't mind it.
Can't beat the price 5
alysb from Houston, TX
If you are considering buying this foundation- do it. Not only is it incredibly affordable, it looks amazing on the skin! Unlike other foundations I've used that are atleast 6 times the price, I've found I don't even need a primer underneath this to achieve a beautiful finish. As far as coverage, I'd say this is medium to full coverage, but you can also get away with a lighter application if you blend quickly. Already on my second bottle and will continue to purchase!
Negative stars! Horrible! 1
Glitteryfab from GF
The smell is so incredibly chemical and disgusting. That is where it was offensive. I tried it once and in the garbage it went.
