My favorite 2nd step cleanser from Ulta

So I'm used to using facial powder washes so the application isn't anything too weird for me. You just wet your hands, put about a quarter sized amount in your palm then use your other hand to begin lathering. Even if I happen to have a few pieces not already dissolved, when I begin lathering on my ...

Good Cleanser

My favorite aspect of this cleanser is that it's a powder. This is especially useful if you need to bring a cleanser through TSA or if you're afraid of spillage during transport. Overall, I felt like this did a good job of cleaning my face. However, I didn't see any changes to my skin while using it (moisturize/brighten).

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I have mixed feelings over this product and I'll elaborate some more. I have combination and acne-prone skin and was looking forward to using this product. The product was travel friendly and the idea was good, but my skin did not agree with it. I liked that when you added warm water, it foamed really nicely, but I did not like the smell. It was almost like plastic and chemicals which was definitely not the best sensorial experience. After a week or two of use, I noticed that my skin became really irritated and red (itchy). It felt like I had a large reaction that dwindled down after some time passed. Normally, my skin does not behave like this, so I decided to remove this product from my routine and the redness was gone. I identified this product of being the root of the cause and think that I might have a Vitamin C reaction in general. If you are looking to buy this product, look into it some more and make sure you don't have reactions to Vitamin C. Note that this product is definitely not a product that you should be dependent on for receiving Vitamin C because you would not receive a lot of benefits from this. Overall, it was okay, but I personally will not be purchasing again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I use this product twice a week when I need some exfoliation. I'll use this in combination with the Hanskin Glow Serum and gel moisturizer giving me a dewy finish. There's no particular scent with this cleanser so it's good for those who prefer no scent.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I've never tried a powder cleanser before but it was pleasantly nice! It worked well for me and left my skin feeling soft and fresh! This would also be a perfect product for traveling since you won't have to check it in as a liquid. I would recommend it!

Good intent, didn't work for me...here are my thoughts~

At first, I got this product and thought that it would be a good match for me. I started using it for 2 weeks and noticed that I didn't really like the product. I was intrigued by the Vitamin C aspect of it, but in a cleanser I knew it wouldn't be a very effective brightening agent. My first impression was that the powder was cool and emulsified well. It left minimal granules after adding warm water and was a nice airy foam. I did think that the smell was very chemically and smelled almost like plastic. The smell didn't appeal to me and wasn't a very pleasing sensorial experience, but I decided to give it some more time. I actually stopped using the product all together after I started experiencing irritation and sensitivity after using it. My face turned all red and it felt very reactive/sensitive which normally it doesn't. I cut it out of my routine and my skin went back to normal. I wouldn't say the product was the main problem, but think I might have a Vitamin C allergy. Overall, I personally wouldn't recommend it, but I think other people could benefit it more than I can.
