Before I give my review, I will say that I don't use primer but if I had to choose it would definitely be a pore filling type. I have dry skin with big, open pores. After trying this product for the past 2 weeks, I can say I am very impressed with the effectiveness at keeping my makeup on throughout the day. I even tested it on a full day excursion I went on out in the sun and while my makeup didn't last all day through the sweat, I can say that using this product helped my makeup last a lot longer. It's glides on beautifully. Does not feel greasy or sticky.

I was lucky enough to receive the new Velvet Smooth Pore-Refining Primer from Iconic London, free in exchangefor my personal opinion of the product. First I liked the simple packing the tube is small and makes it easy to throw in my purse. The primer itself is a nice smooth texture that allows it to spread evenly and fills into every pore. You definitely feel like you are working with a blank canvas. The texture is smooth and I definitely see a nice even base to my daily makeup look. I do however think this primer won't work with just about any type of foundations as any hydrating foundation may not pair as well with it.

For a pore refining primer, I expected this product to be more on the silicone-y side. It was actually a cream like texture, I was quite surprised. Like a moisturizer.

While this primer does do everything that it claims, blurs pores and smooths skin, I find that there are others that do it better for a much more reasonable price. Firstly, while it does blur pores I found that it pills up so easily if I'm wearing certain skincare. Secondly, the packaging to me doesn't look or feel more mid tier-- I really thought it was drugstore when I first saw it. So while it does do what it says and it's not a bad product, I wasn't special enough for me to justify the price.

I realllllyyy wanted to love this product! Unfortunately, it failed me horribly! It goes on (Like it's name) Velvet Smooth and has a whipped texture. After a 10-hour day, I found the primer enhanced my pores. My makeup looked horrible and cakey, which confused me because I do not wear foundation. Just concealer where I need it, the rest is powder. I have combination skin, mostly oily in my T-zone area. My makeup was separating and if I touched my face where makeup was applied, the makeup would come right off. The pictures shown are of my skin before I applied anything to my face and the second picture shows what my makeup looked like after my 10-hr day at work. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with a combination to oily skin. (I received this product in exchange for my review)
