I wouldn't buy it

Valentino is such a great line when it comes to certain perfumes, colognes and even some skincare but this is by far my least favorite one. Thanks to Valentino for sending me this Uomo Born in Roma EDT. Presentation wise, great looking bottle giving it that punky edge with the studs I'd say and VALE...NTINO across the bottle in a leather plaque. Immediate opening, you get this fresh bright scent which is no surprise as the middle notes is ginger. It also has sage and for this reason, in my opinion, sage can easily be a hit and miss on most skins making this an important factor with performance. The dry down is a bit better with the vetiver and slight taste of woody notes. The reason why I'm not so impressed is because it reminds me of INVICTUS. Although the notes are very different, when you align them side to side on the skin, you'd be surprised how similar this colognes are. I'd say more of a INVICTUS flanker. Performance is weak and you will have to re apply every 3hrs if you really want to keep this smelling good and radiate well in hopes people will notice and compliment you. After all this is an EDT so don't expect a big performance. I would highly suggest this cologne for spring time and also if you are a teenager. Here on ULTA and across other big store brands you can find it at around $130 but I would honestly find a way to buy it for less if possible. I find this perfume a bit boring and lack of personality if you ask me for my honest opinion. VALENTINO can do better!
