A bold, seductive, and dangerously addictive scent
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Ah yes, Devotion Pour Homme—the new fragrance from Dolce&Gabbana that smells like someone distilled confidence, charm, and just a dash of "yes, I do own a yacht" into a bottle. Let's start with the scent: coffee, citrus, and patchouli, warm...

Burnt artisanal lavender coffee, I fear
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I haven't smelled any of the other Devotions before (or if I have, I don't remember them), just as an FYI… Opens with a burst of lavender (hate!) that is screechy and synthetic. I don't enjoy lavender (far too ubiquitous in men's fragrance...

A scent with Presence
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Very nice and soothing scent. The package is compact and great value. Have used it a few times on social occasions and many who had experienced the aroma agreed that it was warm and smooth.

Burnt artisanal lavender coffee, I fear
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I haven't smelled any of the other Devotions before (or if I have, I don't remember them), just as an FYI… Opens with a burst of lavender (hate!) that is screechy and synthetic. I don't enjoy lavender (far too ubiquitous in men's fragrances and I also simply don't like it), and doubly-so here. Off to a bad start. Plus some citrus? But that might honestly just be the soapy presentation of an aromatic, which so often renders them akin to cleaning products. But then the coffee steps in, and it's the vapors of a fresh pot— not the beans or grinds, but a softly steaming batch you've just poured for yourself. It warms it up and gracefully sidesteps the lavender that kept my jaw clenched and my nose itchy…but nevertheless, the lavender persisted. Why? I almost saw the light :( There's a vaguely-golden, amber hue to the scent by the end of it, but it's nothing transformative. In fact, the amber's marriage to the coffee darkens it to the point where it's almost chocolate, but the kind of chocolate that reminds me of that old Axe spray, "Dark Temptation." Alas, not for me. But it performs pretty well and lasts a good bit.

I would absolutely buy this product again
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I feel like this will be a fantastic fall/winter fragrance. It has a spicy woody kind of scent, and I pick up on some coffee and citrus as well. It lasts a moderately long time and projects well without overpowering a room.
Smells great
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This parfum smells great. its rich and deep while still remaining fresh and slightly floral. It mellowed out to a nice rich scent that lasted a few hours. (not as long as some of my super high end parfums that last all day but it performed much better than my parfums that barely last an hour). The small sample size is convenient for packing on the go or leaving in your purse. Although i would recommend throwing out the sample card immediately as it has sharp edges and i somehow managed a papercut from it.
