Design Flaw- Ouch!

I love certain functions of this curling iron. I love the barrel size and heat options. I love how I can get gentle big curls in my hair with it. It's also good at smoothing my hair when I want straighter look. (I have natural wavy curls) But I hate the screws holding on the clamp. My long hair ge...

As someone who typically straightens her naturally wavy hair, I was intrigued by the chance to try this InfinitiPRO by Conair Digital 1 ¾-inch curling iron (thanks, BzzAgent!). I've never had a lot of luck with curling irons in the past; now that I've had about a month to work with the InfinitiPRO, I can say that I still haven't quite conquered the learning curve, but I'm still trying! A few issues kept me from giving the InfinitiPRO a full five stars. 1.75 inches is BIG for a curling iron; while my hair is well below shoulder length, I think I'd have more luck with a slightly smaller diameter. For those with longer hair, though, this barrel size would be great for loose curls or tidy waves. The size also makes the iron a bit unwieldy to use, especially at first. The other issue I found was that the clamp sometimes catches and pulls out strands of hair. However, this curling iron also has a lot of positives. I love the convenient little stand that's built into the design, making it easy to set down the hot iron without risking counter damage. My last curling iron had something akin to a kickstand that was clumsy and often collapsed; that isn't an issue with the Infinitipro. This iron heats up very efficiently, and the digital display tracks the rising temperature as the barrel heats. Also, the barrel seems to heat evenly, and I'm not seeing any heat damage from using it. All in all, while this isn't the most outstanding or revolutionary curling iron on the market, it's an affordable, solid option if you're on a budget, or if you're new to curling your hair and not ready to commit to something fancier. Take your time, remember to use a heat protectant, and give it a shot. I'll keep practicing right along with you.

First of all, amazing quality, it's so easy to use! At first I was a little confused on how to turn up the temperature but the instructions were very helpful. The curling iron works so good! I loved it so much and left my hair looking so nice afterwards. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or family member it's amazing!!

Too hot to handle!

As much as I love the large barrel size of this curling iron and just didn't perform as well as I would have hoped. If the barrel got half as hot as the tip does then it might actually curl my hair. Unfortunately it does not so it doesn't heat up hot enough to curl my hair and the handle is too hot to hold.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This curling iron is easy to use, heats up evenly and quickly, and adds a lot of volume to my hair. The size of it may be too large for my shorter hair, but I find that it gives me the volume and definition I am looking for with everyday styling. For longer hair lengths, this will add large waves/curls to your style. The curling iron itself is not too heavy, but it feels luxurious and high-end.
