Price: 18,500 won for 100 pads (Hwahae Shopping sale price as of 21.10.22) (Regular price 26,000 won) #Review: First off, I was thrilled that these were tea tree­infused soothing care pads. I also loved the square shape of the container rather than the typical round one. The gauze material is unique ­ it's super thin, so you need to use the clip carefully to pick up one pad at a time. The easy clip storage is a major plus. Many other brands include clips, but they're often hard to manage. This one gets high marks for that. The pads are also generously soaked in essence, so they don't dry out mid­use. Now for the actual usage experience: I was intrigued by the thin gauze as I'm not a fan of harsh pads. Usually, pads have a soft side and a textured side, making them quite thick. These, however, pack a whopping 100 sheets in one container! Surprisingly, the high essence content means one pad is enough for a thorough, hydrating facial treatment. Just be careful not to scrub too hard out of habit ­ the gauze can be quite abrasive if you're not gentle. It's best to develop a habit of using a light touch. As for using it as a pack ­ highly recommended, especially for 10 minutes before makeup. I suggest buying two containers and keeping one in the fridge for an extra cooling effect. The adherence is fantastic, making it more effective for soothing and cooling than many sheet masks. My cheeks have large pores and get very red and hot after cleansing, but if I put these on my cheeks while I dry my hair before makeup, my skin looks amazing. Of course, results may vary. While it works fine as an exfoliating toner, this product truly shines as a pack. #Overall: Personally, I'd recommend using this more as a pack than an exfoliating toner, especially for those with hot, pore­prone, and redness­prone skin. Just make sure to patch test first. The tea tree scent isn't unpleasant, the large quantity is cost­effective, and the gauze material provides excellent adherence. Perfect for day and night care. I use it as a pack before makeup during the day, and as an exfoliating toner after cleansing at night. It's the perfect routine. After cleansing, when my skin still feels a bit off, I gently swipe with this pad before my skincare routine, and the next morning my skin looks bright (though still oily, but I'm satisfied with the results). +Updated 19.01.23 I've discovered the biggest and only drawback, so I'll quickly mention it. The clip is quite flimsy... Due to the thin gauze, the 100 sheets are densely packed. It's quite difficult to separate one sheet... While using your hands would make it easier, I prioritize hygienic handling, so I struggled a bit. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I end up using two sheets at once! Also, as you get used to it, you might scrub too hard. Please be careful about this. Good skincare products should be used properly. If you scrub roughly for convenience, you'll damage your skin. As mentioned in my original review, the pack function is superb. It adheres well, and it's great for cooling the skin before makeup, especially for those with redness. That's all for my updated review. 99% satisfaction rate. I'll explain one drawback: Due to the gauze material, it's thin and can be abrasive. However, when I say 'abrasive', I mean it depends on how you use it, not that it's inherently harsh. If you're not careful, you can really damage your skin. Especially if you scrub hard ­ that's a big no­no. Also, because it's so thin, it can be a bit awkward to use the whole pad. Particularly since it's so saturated with essence, it sticks to your face and you end up dragging it around. To be honest, these are minor drawbacks given how satisfied I am with using it on my skin. I'll likely repurchase. (I can't say for certain because I plan to use at least 50 sheets before deciding... I'll come back to update my review later.) As I mentioned in the review above, given that it contains tea tree, I assume many people with sensitive or acne­prone skin will be interested. When using it, you really need to be gentle. If you scrub hard, you'll destroy your skin barrier. Gently swipe it across your skin. And as for using it as a pack! The adherence is really amazing. The essence is also top­notch. I highly recommend using it for 10 minutes before makeup. Many famous makeup shops use packs before applying makeup. It lowers skin temperature, which helps makeup apply better and prevents it from separating.
