I have oily skin, and have always struggled with mascara smudging around my eyes, even waterproof. I tried tubing mascaras years and years ago but they weren't so great back then. THIS mascara shows me tubing mascaras have come a very long way. This mascara does last all day without any issues fo...r me. no flaking into my eyes. no smudging around my eyes. no eye irritation. I even wore it in Mexico while at the pool. it stayed put all day for the most part. as long as I didn't repeatedly touch my eyes with wet or sunscreen hands. applying this had a bit of a learning curve. I still struggle with getting mascara on my eyelids when applying to my lashes due to the spool. for best application, you must WARM the mascara. I usually put it in-between my boobs while I do my other make up. Sounds silly, but the mascara glides on easier once it is warmed and has a finer finish that fans the lashes vs clumping. I do not find a second coat to be necessary. if you like to separate your lashes after applying mascara you must do it quickly with this one. this mascara is definitely lengthening, and it does hold a curl a little bit better than other mascaras I've worn in the past, but throughout the day the curl will fall over time. For max length apply a second coat but this can be tricky. You've got to wait until coat one is tacky before you apply coat 2. if you apply too soon, you won't see much lengthening. if you apply too late, it'll just make your lashes clumpy. I would certainly buy this again.
