Powerful Cleansing Balm
I tried the Clinique Take the Day Off Charcoal Cleansing Balm. It claims to quickly dissolve long wearing eye and face makeup. It also claims to help detoxify, reduce excess oils, and unclog pores. You simply use your fingertips to massage on dry skina¹, then simply rinse off with warm water. It als...

It's okay
I personally do not really like this cleanser, it does it's job but it almost like there's a learning curve lol. It works but it feels messy. First off I don't like that the balm goes on pigmented and makes it look like your mascara is smudged lol it's very off putting and you have to reapply it a f...

I received this as a free sample. After using just one time I had an allergic reaction all around my eyes.
Great product
Age 30-44
I received this as a free sample along with an eye cream sample. I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but I decided to deviate from my normal routine and try it. I'm so glad that I did. It's so smooth and silky going on. I have seen some reviews that people say it's hard to wipe off and have given 1 star. You need to wash it off like regular cleanser not try and wipe it. If used properly, it leaves your skin feeling very hydrated and soft. I will definitely be adding this product to my routine and will purchase once my sample runs out.
This was horrible option

I received a trial size of the charcoal remover and decided to try it. First, it smelled of petroleum, a very chemical smell, and stained my washcloth when I wanted to remove it. I cannot think of ever using this product when so many other options are available.
AMAZING!!!!!
Age 30-44
Let me start by saying This is NOT a cleanser on its own. I see so many bad reviews about this product because it's not used properly. This is a FIRST STEP to remove makeup and sunscreen, only after this do you go in with a REGULAR cleanser. A good product is getting bad reviews because of operator error. This balm is amazing!!!! It melts into the skin beautifully. My skin is not left feeling dry, which has been the case with other cleansers. It takes off my sunscreen and mascara completely and most importantly it doesn't cause my super picky princess skin to break out. Will continue to use this forever ❤️.

Don't bother, not worth the $$.

The review system won't let me give it NO stars, which is what it deserves. Thank goodness I didn't actually pay $$ for it, but rec'd it as a sample. It's messy to use, takes a ton of tissues to wipe off (not good for the environment), didn't remove all my eye makeup and irritated my eyes (despite the claim that it is good for sensitive skin and eyes). If you want a good eye makeup remover, stick with the tried & true Take the Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips.
