Is this safe to use to remove long wearing lipsticks?

- Official Answer By Clinique USWe are happy to share the Clinique Take The Day Off Charcoal Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover quickly dissolves tenacious sunscreens, eye and face makeups, including lipsticks. Scoop out a large coin size amount of product into hands. (Avoid wetting product or hands prior to use.) Use fingertips to massage balm over dry facial skin and eye area. Apply warm water and massage to dissolve face and eye makeup. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry. Follow with your Clinique 3-Step Skin Care System. I normally love Clinique products, but I HATE this one. The smell is AWFUL! It doesn't remove makeup, just smears it. And finally, leaves a film on face that my cleanser can't take off (nor does the cleanser get rid of the smell). So disappointed that I wasted any money on this product.

The charcoal balm melts makeup and deeply cleanses pores, leaving my skin fresh and smooth. Perfect for a thorough cleanse without stripping the skin!
Won't buy again
I've used Clinique for over 30 years. Always love the products. However I don't like this make up remover balm. Way too greasy for my already oily skin. Feels like crisco on my face. And it smells terrible, like old used cooking oil.

I really love these balm it takes off my whole full face makeup. I really recommend this product.
Better options
This product is very greasy and messy. It does clean, but there are so many other better cleansers that Clinique makes. I would not buy this again.
