To switch barrels:
- Turn the TightTwist lock to vertical position. Attach your barrel, then twist the lock clockwise to secure it in place.
To create curls and waves with a wand barrel:
- Always begin with dry, detangled hair. Hold the wand over your head with the tip pointing down. Then, starting from the roots, wrap a 1-2" section of hair around the barrel.
- Hold for a few seconds, then slide the wand out to release the curl.
- For looser curls or waves, tug lightly on the section before allowing it to cool.
To create curls and waves with a clip barrel:
- Always begin with dry, detangled hair. Insert the tip of a 1-2" section of hair into the clamp and roll the iron upwards toward the scalp.
- Hold the iron in place until heat has full penetrated the hair section, then open the clamp and gently release the curl.
- For looser curls or waves, tug lightly on the section before allowing it to cool.

Maybe I got a damaged one, this was gifted by T3 but this one didn't function as the manual explains. Can't get it pass on led #2, at the beginning I can select the temperature but then it gets back to #2 and never heat enough, just very slightly. This creates long lasting, shiny curls and delivers very even consistent heat. Love being able to switch the barrel for different looks and is also very convenient for travel. Highest quality curling iron I've ever owned and leaves hair feeling healthy and looking great!

This is definitelty not a good product, if you have thin hair like myself, however, it is made of very durable materials, and I would imagine that if you have longer thick hair, it would probablky produce great results. But for me, it made my hair frizzy, and uneven. I do not recommend this product, if you have thin average length hair..

When I opened this kit, I was a little confused by what made this a waver as opposed to a regular curling iron with 3 different barrels to choose from. I still don't have an answer to how this creates different results, it just does! I tried one of the barrels with the oldschool clamp first and despite using it exactly how I'd use a curling iron, I ended up with more beachy waves. The clampless wand is my favorite though, it was really easy to use and I've never personally gotten my hair to look that good before, it'll be my go-to for occasions where I need to look my best. I also really like the heat glove that it came with, oh the burns I could've prevented if I'd had one of these years ago, it works really well while using either of the barrels but is especially helpful for the wand with no clamp.
